  • Patent number: 11217801
Abstract: A vehicle is provided having a vehicle front end in which a fuel cell system which has a fuel cell stack is arranged, which full cell system is, at a cathode side, connected at least directly to an exhaust-gas line through which a fluid emerging from the fuel cell stack can be discharged from the vehicle front end. The exhaust-gas system comprises a sorption system for the adsorption of a liquid of the fluid emerging from the fuel cell stack. The invention furthermore relates to a method for treating a fluid of a fuel cell system, which has a fuel cell stack, in a vehicle.

    Assignee: Audi AG
Inventors: Thomas Lichius, Herbert Böll, Johannes Weis, Thomas Weustenfeld
  • Publication number: 20210408561
Abstract: A fuel cell device for a vehicle has a fuel cell system comprising a fuel cell stack and has a first cooling circuit for cooling the fuel cell system and a second cooling circuit for cooling an electronic unit and/or an energy storage. The first cooling circuit and the second cooling circuit are thermally connected to each other, wherein only the second cooling circuit has a cooler for cooling the cooling water flowing in the second cooling circuit. A method for cooling a fuel cell device using such components is also provided.

  • Patent number: 10982584
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for operating a drive device of a motor vehicle, wherein the drive device has at least one heat-generating device and a cooling circuit for cooling the heat-generating device, and at least one first coolant cooler of the cooling circuit and at least one second coolant cooler of the cooling circuit are fluidically connected to the heat-generating device. It is thereby provided that the first coolant cooler and the second coolant cooler are fluidically connected in parallel to the heat-generating device, and that coolant arriving from the heat-generating device be divided by means of a control mechanism between the first coolant cooler and the second coolant cooler. The disclosure furthermore relates to a drive device of a motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 10946712
Abstract: A vehicle includes a fuel cell unit with which is associated a first coolant circuit, with a second coolant circuit associated with the interior of the vehicle, in which is held a coolant of lower temperature relative to the coolant of the first coolant circuit. Given higher demand for cooling capacity in the first coolant circuit, a valve is opened by a control device, independently of the heat demand in the second coolant circuit, to open a first connecting conduit between the first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit, and thus, using a second connecting conduit, forms a common ring conduit for the first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit with the accumulated coolant from the first coolant circuit and the second coolant circuit.
