  • Publication number: 20040037713
Abstract: The fuel feed system has a feed unit (22), which has having an electric motor (32) as a drive mechanism and a pumping part (34) driven by the electric motor; the pumping part (34) is disposed offset from the electric motor (32), in the direction of the pivot axis (33) of the electric motor. A filter (24) is disposed beside the feed unit (22) and fuel pumped by the pumping part (34) flows through it. The feed unit (22) and the filter (24) are disposed in separate chambers (10, 20) of a common housing (16), between which chambers there is an overflow opening (60) for the fuel pumped by the pumping part (34). The housing (16) is tightly closed by means of a cap (26). The electric motor (32) and the pumping part (34) are inserted as separate structural units into a chamber (10) of the housing (16) and are braced against one another by at least one resilient element (58) in the direction of the pivot axis (33) of the electric motor (32).

  • Publication number: 20040028520
Abstract: The flow pump has an impeller (10), driven to revolve about a pivot axis (14) in a pump chamber (12), which impeller, on at least one face end (44), has a ring of blades (16) spaced apart from one another in the circumferential direction, which end at the face end (44) of the impeller (10) and which between them define blade chambers (20). In the pump chamber (12), at least one feed conduit (34) in the form of a split ring is embodied that cooperates with the ring of blades (16) on the impeller (10), and at least one intake opening (36) discharging into the feed conduit (34) is embodied in a pump chamber wall (30) that defines the pump chamber (12) in the direction of the pivot axis (14) of the impeller (10).

  • Publication number: 20030127075
Abstract: The device includes a closure element (20), which closes an opening (18) of a fuel tank (12) and has a cup-shaped receptacle (22), which opens toward the outside of the fuel tank (12), contains the fuel filter (24), and can be closed by a cover element (36), which can be detachably fastened to the closure element (20). An elastic sealing ring (46), which is clamped between the closure element (20) and the cover element (36), seals the receptacle (22). In the vicinity of the sealing ring (46), the closure element (20) has at least one opening (52) via which the receptacle (22) communicates with the interior of the fuel tank (12). When the cover element (36) is fastened onto the closure element (20), the sealing ring (46), starting from a non-deformed original shape, is elastically deformed in such a way that it closes the at least one opening (52).

  • Publication number: 20030121550
Abstract: The device has a collecting receptacle (14), which is disposed inside the storage tank (10) and from which a delivery unit (20) aspirates fuel and delivers it to the engine (12). A jet pump (22) is provided, which delivers the fuel from the storage tank (10) into the collecting receptacle (14). The jet pump (22) is disposed close to a bottom (16) of the collecting receptacle (14) and feeds fuel into it through an ascending line (32) that extends up into the vicinity of the upper rim of the collecting receptacle (14). A separate component (30) is disposed on the outside of a peripheral wall (18) of the collecting receptacle (14). The outside of the peripheral wall (18) and/or the side of the component (30) oriented toward the peripheral wall (18) has an open channel (24; 34). The component (30) is tightly connected to the peripheral wall (18) to cover the open channel (24; 34) and to form the ascending line (32).
