  • Patent number: 6666308
Abstract: An actuator comprises a housing, a motor (5), an actuating member (11, 12) and a screw mechanism (2) providing a linear movement of the actuating member (11, 12) with respect to the housing in response to a rotational movement of the motor (5), which screw mechanism (2) comprises a screw (17, 47) and a nut (13, 46) one of which is rotatably supported with respect to the housing by means of an angular contact bearing, and a reduction gear means (4). The actuating member (11, 12) and the reduction gear means (4) are situated at opposite ends of the screw mechanism (2).

  • Patent number: 5778325
Abstract: A system for supplying primary electrical power to modular components of electronic equipment. The system uses a battery power source mounted either in the module or as part of a battery pack that attaches to the module. Module circuitry supplies a recharge current to the battery power source. A charge circuit charges the batteries in a parallel and supplies power to the module by connecting the batteries in series. Circuitry also determines the amount of battery power source used for an operation of the module and sends a recharge current to the battery power source corresponding to the power consumed by the module and based on the available recharge current.

  • Patent number: 4975329
Abstract: A coextruded, biaxailly oriented multilayer film comprises a base layer comprising an extremely pure raw material and outer layer. It is suitable for use as an electrically insulating film, as a dielectric in an electrical capacitor, and has improved dielectrical properties for this purpose. The base layer and the outer layer or layers contain propylene polymer on one or both sides and stabilizers for propylene polymers. The raw material for the base layer has an idealized thermal oxidation temperature in the range of 260.degree. to 300.degree. C., preferably in the range 260.degree. to 280.degree. C., and the raw material for the outer layer or layers has an idealized thermal oxidation temperature in the region of 240.degree. to 300.degree. C., preferably in the range 240.degree. to 270.degree. C. The multilayer film as a whole has an idealized thermal oxidation temperature in the range 250.degree. to 290.degree. C., in paticular in the range 250.degree. to 275.degree. C.
