  • Publication number: 20230280106
Abstract: A system includes a fin apparatus that is installed on a heat transfer medium pipe using thermally conductive mastic (heat transfer compound) and bands for holding the components in place. The system further includes a tank containing material of high viscosity, primarily Polymer Modified or Ground Tire Rubber Asphalts (PMAs and GTRs), that requires heating. The fin apparatus increases the surface area of the heat transfer medium piping and increases the effectiveness of the heat transfer that takes place between the medium and the high viscosity material. There is a need for the fin apparatus because to date, traditional fin designs are prone to fouling and decreased performance when used with high viscosity materials like PMAs and GTRs.

  • Publication number: 20230276193
Abstract: A method of secure communication interactions that comprise a communication via various communication modes. Example method comprises accepting an indication from a first user to communicate with a second user via a preferred communication mode, associating the indication with a unique identifier without revealing an identity of the first user, and in response to receiving a response from the second user, establishing a user-to-user communication channel for a particular communication mode selected from the preferred communication mode without requiring an identifier disclosing an identity of any user, and terminating the particular communication mode in response to determining that one user requests the termination of the particular communication mode to become a blocking user, wherein a future communication between the blocking user and any outside user is blocked based at least in part on the unique identifier.

  • Publication number: 20230260538
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to voice activity detection (VAD) on wearable and other resource-constrained devices, to classify speech recorded by a microphone of the device as belonging to a wearer of the device versus another speech source. A computing device can include a microphone and an inertial measurement unit (IMU). The wearable device can use signals measured by the IMU for providing motion-tracking features, such as head tracking for augmented reality or virtual reality applications. Aspects of the disclosure provide for a device for leveraging existing data collected for these motion-tracking features for use in VAD. A device can pre-process data streamed from an IMU to use only signals predetermined to be indicative of whether or not a wearer of the device is speaking.

  • Publication number: 20230252560
Abstract: An intelligent data matching and validation system, and associated methods, are disclosed. The system includes various processors, databases, and immutable ledgers for analyzing data such as, but not limited to, loan data. The system leverages intelligent resources such as Bayesian inference networks for determining high correlation events representative of likely outcomes based on data parameters. The system automatically updates the Bayesian inference network's weighted coefficients in response to processing loan data and corresponding target events, such as repurchase requests. The system stores outcomes from the Bayesian inference networks, as well as loan histories and associated loan data, in a ledger that is accessible to third parties via a unique cryptographic token.

  • Patent number: 11718820
Abstract: Less-than-diploid I. orientalis cells are produced. The cells have at least one unpaired chromosome and may be haploid, i.e., are missing one member of each pair of chromosomes that are present in the wild-type strains. The less-than-diploid cells are useful fermentation strains, performing similarly to diploid strains that are otherwise similarly engineered. The less-than-diploid strains can be mated to produce diploids, which themselves are useful fermentation strains. The less-than-diploid strains are also useful as host strains for producing further genetically modified strains that can be less-than-diploid or mated to produce diploids.

  • Patent number: 11719017
Abstract: An inflatable drive through tunnel system comprised of an inflatable main tunnel and an inflatable positive pressure booth area for performing simple medical diagnostic tests or the like. A patient can drive into the inflatable tunnel. Medical personnel can take samples from patients who remain in their vehicles. The medical personnel can then store the samples in the positive pressure booth area. The positive pressure ensures that outside contaminants are not brought into the booth through the air when the personnel enter and leave the booth.
