  • Publication number: 20240149843
Abstract: A method for controlling an activation state of a braking-torque assistance system for reducing intake of braking energy in the service-brake system of a vehicle includes capturing and evaluating of a plurality of demand indications for a startup of the braking-torque assistance system. The method further includes starting a capture of a plurality of operating conditions of the service-brake system and evaluation of the captured plurality of operating conditions over a monitoring period responsive to the evaluation of the captured plurality of demand indications reveals a demand for the startup of the braking-torque assistance system, activating the braking-torque assistance system and checking for temperature precursor parameters of the braking-torque assistance system, and deactivating the braking-torque assistance system responsive to the temperature precursor parameters indicating a trend toward an overheating of the service-brake system.

  • Patent number: 11897441
Abstract: A method for controlling an activation state of a braking-torque assistance system for reducing intake of braking energy in a service-brake system of a vehicle includes capturing and evaluating a plurality of demand indications for a startup of the braking-torque assistance system. If the evaluation of the captured plurality of demand indications reveals a demand for the startup of the braking-torque assistance system, a plurality of operating conditions of the service-brake system are captures and evaluated over a monitoring period. If, in turn, the evaluation of the captured plurality of operating conditions reveals that an overheating of the service-brake system is imminent, the braking-torque assistance system is actuated and one or more deactivation conditions of the braking-torque assistance system are checked. If the deactivation conditions are satisfied, the braking-torque assistance system is deactivated.

  • Patent number: 11396207
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a wheel hub unit of a motor vehicle and to a method for producing such a wheel hub unit. The wheel hub unit includes a wheel hub and a contact flange firmly connected to the wheel hub. The contact flange includes a plurality of fastening elements for fastening a wheel rim, as well as a contact surface which is intended to come into mechanical contact, at least in part, with a brake hat of a brake disk when the brake disk is in the mounted state. At least part of the contact surface is provided with a thermally insulating coating. Alternatively, the entire contact surface is provided with the thermally insulating coating.

  • Publication number: 20210199167
Abstract: A disc brake includes a brake disc made of light metal and a brake pad. The brake disc includes a brake track having formed therein a plurality of depressions which are distributed over a surface of the brake track. The brake disc is formed from a hypereutectic aluminum silicon alloy, which has a silicon content of 13 to 21 wt. % and a maximum content of 0.3 wt. % of copper. The brake pad is configured to act on the brake disc and includes a NAO friction material.
