  • Patent number: 11833764
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for ultrasonic treatment of a plastic material, comprising the steps of: positioning the plastic material between a sonotrode and a counter-tool, bringing the sonotrode excited by means of an ultrasonic oscillation into contact with the plastic material during a welding phase, moving the sonotrode and the counter-tool towards each other during a holding phase, in which neither the sonotrode nor the counter-tool are excited with an ultrasonic oscillation so that a force F is applied onto the plastic material. In order to reduce treatment times, wherein at the same time the quality of the welding process is not impaired but is even to be improved, it is proposed according to the invention that the force F is varied during the holding phase.

  • Patent number: 10520780
Abstract: An electroactive package is disclosed that includes an active film and a pair of transparent conductive layers positioned on opposite sides of the active film. The transparent conductive layers each include an overhang section that extends beyond an edge of the active film, with the overhang sections being located at a periphery of the electroactive package. A bus bar is disclosed that comprises a pair of electrically-conductive layers and an insulative layer positioned between the electrically-conductive layers. The bus bar extends along at least a portion of the periphery of the electroactive package and is positioned between the overhang sections of the transparent conductive layers. Also disclosed are electroactive windows, and methods of making them.

  • Patent number: 8216408
Abstract: The invention concerns an ultrasonic sonotrode having a sealing surface which is intended to come into contact with the material to be processed. To provide an ultrasonic sonotrode, an ultrasonic sealing apparatus and a method of ultrasonic processing, which avoids complicated and expensive positioning of the sonotrode and which nonetheless ensures uniform good quality for the weld seam, it is proposed according to the invention that the sealing surface is of a two-part configuration and the two sealing surface parts are formed by two mutually facing sealing surface portions.
