  • Publication number: 20240218868
Abstract: A system and method for generating, leveraging, and storing electrical energy are disclosed. The system comprises one or more walking beams having a track and at least two protective end stops located on opposite ends of the track. A plurality of counterweights is attached to the walking beams, adjacent the axle, via one or more connecting rods. An electric vehicle (EV) chassis is positioned on top of the track and allows back-and-forth movement. The back-and-forth movement makes the walking beam move up and down, which then converts into rotational movement of a flywheel via a rack and pinion arrangement, capturing an alternately falling force of counterweights, thereby rotating the flywheel for generating constant electrical output. Further, an apparatus is adapted for generating artificial fluid lift by utilizing back and-forth movement of the EV chassis.

  • Publication number: 20220414524
Abstract: Aspects described herein may use machine learning models to predict individuals or teams to assign to a discussion group in response to the occurrence of a new incident of an entity. A first machine learning model recognizes relationships between data concerning previous incidents, including remediation actions and individuals assigned to a discussion group on the corresponding incident, and a new incident. A second machine learning model predicts individuals to assign to a discussion group to address the new incident and schedules a conference bridge based upon known scheduling data of the individuals.

  • Patent number: 9228462
Abstract: The present disclosure considers an exhaust manifold and method of casting an exhaust manifold, where the exhaust manifold has both a portion of the exterior wall that is jacket cooled and a portion of the exterior wall that is not cooled. The non-cooled portion of the exterior is not accessible when the exhaust manifold is secured to the engine block. Furthermore, the non-cooled portion of the exterior wall of the exhaust manifold is designed to add stability during the casting process and allow for a simplified casting process with fewer cores.

  • Patent number: 5783894
Abstract: An apparatus for generating electrical energy includes at least one fixedly mounted stator having a generally cylindrical cross-section and further including an inner periphery and an outer periphery. The apparatus additionally includes a rotor which is mounted for rotation relative to the stator about an axis. A plurality of field windings is mounted to the stator to extend about its periphery preferably in a serpentine manner. Further, the apparatus includes first and second groups of permanent magnets. The first group of permanent magnets is mounted to the rotor and is axially arranged about the axis such that the first group of magnets faces the inner periphery of the stator. The second group of magnets is mounted to the rotor and is arranged about the axis such that the second group of permanent magnets faces the outer periphery of the stator.

  • Patent number: 5272378
Abstract: An apparatus for generating power by utilizing the wind produced from the passage of vehicular traffic such as on a highway or freeway includes a plurality of vertical axis rotors mounted vertically within a support structure. Each of the vertical axis rotors is coupled to a generator adapted to convert rotational energy of the rotors into electrical energy. The apparatus is particularly well adapted for placement between two opposing lanes of vehicular traffic in order to provide a barrier which replaces conventional barriers with one adapted to harness a previously unused source of energy.
