    Abstract: A duct for use with an oscillating fan blade has a preferred height which is a function of the blade height and a preferred width which is related to the maximum excursion of the blade leading edge. The duct is positioned at a preferred gap distance which is related to a maximum blade excursion distance and the velocity of the blade. A duct for a twin blade fan and a single blade fan is disclosed.
