Patent number: 10481245Abstract: The concepts, systems and methods described herein are directed towards frequency jump burst-pulse-Doppler (FJB-PD) waveforms and processing to provide wideband, high range resolution (HRR) radar profiling capability in a clutter dense environment. The method includes transmitting a FJB-PD waveform comprising a plurality of frequency steps over a predetermined time period with each frequency step having a plurality of pulses. The method further includes receiving one or more FJB-PD pulse returns corresponding to the FJB-PD waveform and identifying one or more target detections in the one or more FJB-PD pulse returns. A set of range swaths may be extracted for each of the one or more target detections and a wideband spectrum may be generated for each of the sets of range swaths using FJB coherent integration. A clutter suppressed HRR profile may be generated for each of the target detections based on the respective wideband spectrum.Type: GrantFiled: July 1, 2016Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: Raytheon CompanyInventors: Ronald LaPat, Pierre Jean-Laurent, Anthony E. Publication number: 20060277589Abstract: A distribution system for vehicle information systems and methods for manufacturing and using same. The distribution system enhances the image quality of a conventional video display system via one or more video conversion systems. Each video conversion system receives information content via an incoming communication signal and enhances a video portion of the information content to form an enhanced video signal, which is provided to the video display system. By providing each video conversion system with a bypass system, the distribution system likewise can bypass one or more of the video conversion systems in the event of a distribution system failure such that communications among system resources can be maintained. As a result, passengers traveling aboard the vehicle can view information content with high resolution and high image quality during travel with limited interruption in service and without unwanted travel delays.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2006Publication date: December 7, 2006Inventors: Paul Margis, Long Bui, Thong Pham

Patent number: 7117195Abstract: A method for deploying a service in a communication network by performing the steps of: invoking a service deployment engine by a request for the service, retrieval of deployment templates, retrieval of service deployment policies, determination of a current configuration of at least one network element involved in providing the service, and selection of a deployment template from the retrieved deployment templates based on the service deployment policies and configuration. Further, a method for configuring a network element via a network element controller through the intermediary of a network element proxy.Type: GrantFiled: April 24, 2002Date of Patent: October 3, 2006Assignee: AlcatelInventors: Dominique Chantrain, Michel Van Ackere, Hans Vanderstraeten, Lieven Trappeniers, Jan De Moerloose, Stéphane Focant, Claudine Batsleer, Hien Thong Pham

Publication number: 20020188719Abstract: Network elements (NE) of a telecommunications network and an application platform (SP), which provides value-added services on top of the network, communicate with each other by means of triggers (T) and handles (H). Triggers (T) are notifications containing information to be sent by a network element to the application platform (SL) upon occurrence of predefined events and handles (H) are commands to be sent by the application platform (SL) requesting execution of predefined actions at said network element (NE). A network element (NE) includes a management information base (MIB) containing managed objects, which describe variables and parameters accessible by a network management system (NMS) to control and monitor the network element (NE). In order to allow systematic interrogation of the triggers and handles interface of a network element (NE), its management information base (MIB) stores additional managed objects which describe the triggers (T) and handles (H) supported by said network element (NE).Type: ApplicationFiled: April 5, 2002Publication date: December 12, 2002Applicant: ALCATELInventors: Hien-Thong Pham, Dominique Chantrain, Claudine Batsleer

Patent number: 5524253Abstract: System Configuration files in source code are created from a high level definition of the distributed system which is to be integrated. The configuration files include data such as the types and formats of data for each process on each node of the system, identification of all applications and machine types, topography and the data manipulations needed for sending messages and files and the like from an application program in a first computer language and of a first data type to an application program in a second computer language and of a second data type. Node-specific data manipulation modules are formed at each node during start-up of the system, and these modules are automatically distributed to nodes on the network having the same architecture.Type: GrantFiled: August 13, 1993Date of Patent: June 4, 1996Assignee: Hewlett-Packard CompanyInventors: Thong Pham, Scott Gulland, Mitch Amino, Mari Budnick, Daryl Gaumer, Cynthia Givens, Mark Ikemoto, Sharat Israni, Clemen Jue, Alan Miranda
