    Abstract: A method for collision avoidance between a vulnerable road user transportation vehicle and a surrounding transportation vehicle. The user of the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle makes use of a portable communication device. Since such vulnerable road users are often involved in accidents since they are not easily recognized in the traffic, the disclosure increases safety for these vulnerable road users. The method includes transferring position detecting sensor data or derived position data of the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle to the portable communication device which performs a map matching technique for refining the position data and transfers the refined position data to the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle. The vulnerable road user transportation vehicle distributes the refined position data to the surrounding transportation vehicles which calculate a trajectory for the vulnerable road user transportation vehicle and estimate the risk of a collision.

    Abstract: A method for starting a parking transportation vehicle located on a parking position in park mode to perform a cooperative parking maneuver. The parking transportation vehicle is equipped with an on-board communication module capable of performing mobile radio communication. The method includes registering wake-up information with a message exchange in a parking backend server in response to the parking transportation vehicle being put in park mode. The wake-up information includes information about communication resources to be used for sending a wake-up message to the parking transportation vehicle and for identifying the wake-up message. The method also includes listening to the registered communication resources during park mode, leaving park mode and switching to normal mode, and sending a starting request message to the parking backend server, receiving a starting message from the parking backend server, and starting the engine for performing the cooperative parking maneuver.

Such lifting up of the beam avoids interference at the place of a third mobile station located at the direction of signal transmission but with further distance, since the signal strength then vanishes relatively quickly if the beam is lifted up.

    Abstract: Modern mobile communication systems transfer data by error protection measures including the use of a forward error correction code for the channel coding and a HARQ (hybrid automatic repeat request) system for the repeated transfer of incorrect transport blocks in response to the error protection mechanisms failing. When a turbo code is used as an error protection code, two decoders work on the decoding of the turbo code. Disclosed is an expanded HARQ system wherein the receiving side determines which of the decoders was more greatly challenged in the decoding of the turbo code and reports this to the transmitting side. Instead of uniformly providing more redundancy data to both decoders, more redundancy data are targetedly provided to the more greatly challenged decoder in the expanded HARQ process than in the case of the repetition operation according to the typical HARQ process reducing the latency of the data transfer.

The method further includes selecting for data transmission at a given time for which the transmission conditions have been estimated so the data to be transmitted is in a category fitting to the estimated transmission conditions based on the categories data, and transmitting the selected data.
