  • Patent number: 9741316
Abstract: A method for displaying pixels on display devices, comprising the steps of (a) Providing virtual pixel storage means, preferably one or more virtual frame buffers (6), for temporarily storing the pixel data, (b) Receiving pixel data into the virtual pixel storage means (6) from one or more pixel sources (5), (c) Processing the pixel data stored in the virtual pixel storage means, based on characteristic display parameters characterizing the display devices; and (d) Transmitting the pixel data from the virtual pixel storage means (6) to one or more virtual displays attached to the virtual pixel storage means via a network (7), based on a network transmission protocol. The invention further relates to a system for displaying pixels on display devices.

  • Publication number: 20150340009
Abstract: A method for displaying pixels on display devices, comprising: generating one or more pixels by one or more pixel sources; Providing one or more display devices for displaying pixels; transmitting the one or more generated pixels to one or more display devices for displaying the pixels via a network based on a network transmission protocol; and displaying the pixels on the display devices, wherein a plurality of the display devices are synchronized with each other for displaying the pixels and that preferably based on the synchronized display devices a plurality of the pixel sources are synchronized with the plurality of synchronized display devices via the network for synchronous displaying the pixels on the plurality of the display devices. The present invention further relates to a system for displaying pixels on display devices.

  • Publication number: 20140369670
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to digital media representations. In particular the present disclosure related to computer implemented methods and devices for selectively merging several rich digital media objects into a combined media asset or object, without sacrificing the rich information represented by each individual digital media object.

  • Patent number: 7401166
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and a system for controlling and/or exchanging data for multimedia appliances and an appliance suitable therefor According to prior art, methods and systems for controlling and exchanging data for multimedial appliances have the disadvantage that said methods, systems and appliances are very simple with regard to the requirements and the possibilities at hand and involve considerable hardware requirements. The invention is based upon the fact that each appliance which is integrated into the system sends a message at regular intervals and by means of the bus as soon as said appliance has been activated The type of the appliance can be detected by means of said message which also reveals that the appliance is switched on, i.e. active. All the remaining active appliances in the system evaluate said messages and send such messages themselves as long as said appliances are active.

  • Patent number: 6940822
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for transmitting time-critical data packets in digital wireless transmission systems. Time-critical data packets are used e.g., in the transmission of MPEG-coded signals, since information about the temporal positions of the data packets in relation to each other must be known in the MPEG decoder. The aim of the invention is to enable data packets of this type to be transmitted via a propagation time-constrained transmission link. To this end, time information relating to the temporal position of a particular data packet is tagged onto said data packet at the sender end. This time information is then used at the receiver end to re-establish the original temporal positions of the individual data packets in relation to each other.
