  • Patent number: 9610410
Abstract: A device and a method are proposed for actuating a carpule, in which a piston is displaced in the carpule by means of a ram that is telescopically extensible by rotation, and in this way a liquid medicament formulation is expelled. For carrying out different processes, different operating movements are provided, particularly the operation of an operating element in different directions and/or the operation of different operating elements. This promotes simple, intuitive and safe operation.

  • Patent number: 9333707
Abstract: A cartridge includes a fluidically conductive floor element, a cover, and a film disposed between the elements. The cover or the floor element and the film include a filling opening for filling microfluidic channels in one of the elements having sample fluid. Pins engage in corresponding holes in the film and the associated element. By way of deforming a pin, a friction fit is produced with the wall of a hole, and a head contacting the associated substrate in a form-fitting manner is formed. A press tool is placed on a head end of a pin at a predetermined pressure, and heat transfer into the pin takes place during a weld time. The pin material is brought to above the glass transition temperature and/or the melting point, and a friction fit between the pin and the wall of the hole is formed by flowing the pin material in the hole.

  • Patent number: 8848988
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for quantitative determination of test results from diagnosis methods with the aid of an optoelectronic evaluation appliance, and to the evaluation appliance itself, characterized in that the digital pixel information per color level or grey level is represented in its intensity in the microprocessor as one column per pixel, wherein the column height corresponds to the intensity, and these columns are displayed alongside one another on one plane, such that the intensity distribution is displayed over the test area as a surface contour or surface profile, the height profile of which corresponds to the intensity profile of the color intensity received by the CCD. Fields of application for the invention are test methods in biochemical laboratories, such as medical diagnosis, forensic medicine, foodstuff diagnosis, molecular biology, biochemistry, gene technology and all other related fields, as well as patient monitoring for home users or in pharmacies.

  • Publication number: 20120275972
Abstract: The invention relates to joining plastic components into a microfluidic cartridge (20). The invention in particular relates to cartridges (20) for diagnostic analysis devices. The cartridge (20) comprises a fluidically conductive floor element (11), a cover (2), and a film (3) disposed between the elements (1, 2). The cover (2) or the floor element (1) and the film (3) comprise a filling opening (5) for filling microfluidic channels (4) in one of the elements having sample fluid. Pins (6) formed integrally with one of the board-shaped elements (1, 2) engage in corresponding holes (7) in the film (3) and the associated element (1, 2) for each. By means of deforming a pin (6), a friction fit is produced between a deformed pin and the wall of a hole, and a head (9) contacting the associated substrate in a form-fitting manner is formed.
