A method for delivering a digital key such as this from a sender to a recipient includes steps of a secret of the sender being deposited with a manufacturer service; a key created by the recipient being signed by the sender; the signed key being relayed to the recipient; an input for the secret by the recipient being acquired; the key and the input being relayed from the recipient to a tracking service; the input being relayed from the tracking service to the manufacturer service; the manufacturer service determining that the input and the secret match; a consent being relayed from the manufacturer service to the tracking service; and an attestation being relayed from the tracking service to the recipient.

Abstract: A method for maintaining a storage resource of an apparatus includes receiving, from user equipment, a package signal indicative of an attestation package of the user equipment. The method further includes generating usage data based on the package signal for a usage of the vehicle. The method further includes storing the usage data in a secure element of the apparatus and deleting the usage data after the usage of the vehicle.

Abstract: A method and system for a vehicle for binding a user account with a digital key is disclosed herein. The method includes receiving information about an account binding of a user from an administrative platform for the vehicle, the information about the account binding comprising information on a digital account key. The method also includes receiving access information from a user, the access information comprising information on a digital user key, and verifying that the digital account key and the digital user key match to obtain user grant information. The method further includes obtaining information about one or more personalized settings or services of the user for the vehicle based on the user grant information, and applying the one or more settings to the vehicle or enabling the one or more services for the user in the vehicle.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a vehicle. According to forms of the invention, it is envisaged that for starting up the vehicle by means of a mobile electronic device carried by a user, the user will gain access to the vehicle by localizing the mobile electronic device by means of Bluetooth RSSI and by performing a first operating action of the user on the exterior of the vehicle.
