  • Patent number: 7999743
Abstract: A multiband antenna array for mobile radio equipment that includes a planar pitch antenna having at least two resonances and is provided with a connection to ground and a high-frequency interface and at least two parasitic transmitters which are located marginal to the planar patch antenna and are embodied so as to be free of a high-frequency interface. A particularly compact multiband antenna for several frequency bands is crated as a result of the special arrangement of the planar patch antenna and the parasitic transmitters.

  • Patent number: 7804451
Abstract: In order to reduce the SAR value in a wireless communication device (MP), an additional, current-conducting corrective element (CE1) is coupled to and configured in relation to the printed circuit board (LP) and the antenna (AT1) such that the amplitude level (IM1, NIM1) and/or the phase angle of electrical currents (I3, I1, I2) on the antenna (AT1), the printed circuit board (LP), and the corrective element (CE1) are adjusted relative to each other in such a way that the SAR distribution resulting from such currents becomes minimal.

Date of Patent: September 28, 2010
    Assignee: Palm, Inc.

  • Patent number: 7151955
Abstract: The invention relates to a radio communication device having at least one additional, current-conducting correction element connected to a printed board in the device. The correction element and printed board are configured in such a manner that a targeted, virtual current path elongation is brought about for an electric current induced on the printed board by electromagnetic radio fields of the antenna while the defined longitudinal and traverse dimensions of the printed board remain substantially unchanged.

  • Publication number: 20060019696
Abstract: A radio communication device is provided which includes a conductor board and a flat antenna disposed in the housing thereof and arranged at a distance from each other, thereby forming a coupling structure. A coupling area with a predetermined antenna volume is contained in the coupling structure between the antenna and the conductor board. At least one camera is arranged in, or adjacent to, the coupling area of the coupling structure such that they simultaneously form a component of the antenna volume of the coupling structure.
