    Abstract: A shear force generating device includes a shear-force generator structured for exerting a shear force at to each volume element of a sample of body fluid or tissue and a native conformation prion protein arranged in a container. A controller controls the shear-force generator to exert a shear-force of at maximum 10% of one shear-force intensity to each volume element of the sample arranged in the container. A light source is directed into the container. An optical detector is arranged to detect light emanating from the container. The detector is coupled to a computer including code to analyze light detected by the optical detector as a measure for the content of aggregated prion protein by comparing the light detected to a Reference Information Database.
