  • Patent number: 8271172
Abstract: Hydraulic brake system for a land vehicle includes a control unit that supplies control signals for controlling automatic braking operations of the brake system, a master cylinder for generating brake pressure under the control of a driver, a first brake circuit includes a first controllable pump for generating brake pressure in the first brake circuit under the control of the control unit, and a first valve arrangement having an input side, which is fluidically connected to the master cylinder, and an output side, which is fluidically connected to the first pump, wherein the first valve arrangement has an open operating state, in which the input side and the output side of the first valve arrangement are fluidically connected, and a closed operating state, in which the fluid connection between the input side and the output side of the first valve arrangement is interrupted.
