  • Patent number: 9999743
Abstract: A method and system for sound-induced sleep is provided. The method includes detecting brainwave signals of a subject. The method further includes analyzing the brainwave signals to determine a current sleepy state of the subject and selecting a sound in response to the current sleepy state based on a quantified association index between the brainwave signals and acoustical features of the sound. The method further more includes playing the sound to the subject.

  • Patent number: 8314321
Abstract: An apparatus for transforming an input sound signal includes a synthesiser which manipulates, in accordance with a manipulation parameter, a pitch deviation envelope to derive a manipulated pitch deviation envelope. A filter transforms the input sound signal from a resampling of the input sound signal with respect to the manipulated pitch deviation envelope. The manipulation parameter may be a user-defined peak pitch deviation of an output sound signal. Another apparatus for transforming an input sound signal includes a synthesiser which manipulates, in accordance with a manipulation parameter, a pitch deviation envelope selected with reference to the manipulation parameter to derive a manipulated pitch deviation envelope.

  • Publication number: 20120102035
Abstract: In an embodiment, a data embedding method may be provided. The data embedding method may include inputting data to be encoded and data to be embedded; grouping the data to be encoded into a first set and a second set, based on an entropy of the data to be encoded; and embedding the data to be embedded into the data to be encoded by replacing a pre-determined part of the second set with the data to be encoded so that the first set remains free of data to be embedded.

  • Publication number: 20110293144
Abstract: Systems and methods for rendering an entertainment animation. The system can comprise a user input unit for receiving a non-binary user input signal; an auxiliary signal source for generating an auxiliary signal; a classification unit for classifying the non-binary user input signal with reference to the auxiliary signal; and a rendering unit for rendering the entertainment animation based on classification results from the classification unit.
