Abstract: CIMS can provide users with essential resources; provide a mechanism for instantly creating, modifying, and delivering infrastructure data that used to take hours or days; improve the efficiency of systems interfacing with it while reducing costly infrastructure; ensure audit and regulatory requirements are satisfied by automatically creating and recording a history of all application transactions; eliminate the cost overhead and human error associated with manual, time-consuming work currently performed by many systems administrators on each disparate system; and be transparent to end users, thereby defraying the costs of time off the job normally incurred with retraining CIMS offers the functionality of the disparate applications and consistently interfaces with the underlying infrastructure. As a result, infrastructure providers do not have to communicate directly with a vast array of business applications.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a portable electronic device and an external keyboard thereof. The portable electronic device comprises a first port comprising a circular earphone plug and a keyboard plug. The external keyboard comprises a main body, a keyboard array and a second port. The keyboard array is disposed on the main body and comprises a plurality of scan signal lines. The second port is electrically coupled to the scan signal lines of the keyboard array, and is capable of inserting into the first port of the portable electronic device so as to electrically couple to the keyboard plug. Therefore, the external keyboard can be connected to an earphone jack in a plug-and-play fashion without necessarity to add a new port such that the external keyboard is convenient to use and carry and can be freely rotated in any angle.

The display unit is arranged on a lower part of one face of the housing, and the first key module is arranged on the housing on the same face as the display unit to locate closely above the display unit. The first key module comprises a plurality of upside keys which are arrayed into a laterally symmetric hexagonal configuration. The second key module comprises a plurality of lateral keys located on one of two opposite lateral surfaces of the housing. The keys of the two key modules are so arranged on the housing that either a right-handed or a left-handed user can conveniently operate the keys not only with a thumb but also the other four fingers while holding the device with one single hand.
