Abstract: The present invention relates to a recognition method and a recognition device for a sheet-type medium. The method comprises: step 1, collecting image information; step 2, splitting from the image information collected image information of an object-to-be-recognized; step 3, reconstructing image data of a feature area, extracting a feature on the reconstructed image data, and forming an eigenvector; and, step 4, sending the eigenvector into a standard data-trained classifier, and acquiring a recognition result. The method has an image reconstructed on the basis of feature area prior information, improves image quality, facilitates increased recognition accuracy, and, because only the image area that requires feature extraction is reconstructed, reduces storage space consumption. This not only saves large amounts of storage space and time and increases resource utilization rate, but also increases recognition accuracy and achieves an improved balance between resource and efficiency.

Abstract: A valuable document identification method and system are provided. The method comprises, detecting features in different space ranges of a valuable document, and obtaining multi-source information ?={Xi, Xj, . . . , Xn}, wherein Xi?Xj??, or Xi?Xj?? and Xi<=>Xj; labeling the space position of Xj with Xi according to semantic constraints of Xi and Xj, and obtaining position constraints ?ij(x, y); extracting a characteristic value fi from Xi, and extracting a characteristic value fj from Xj according to the position constrains ?ij(x, y); determining whether fi, fj meet the characteristic criteria of the valuable document, if yes, then receiving the valuable document, or else, rejecting the valuable document. The method enables improved reliability and robustness of the valuable document identification system.

Abstract: A valuable document identification method and an identification system thereof are provided. The method involves an information collecting module for identifying valuable documents starts, after a banknote separation module for storing valuable documents starts; information is sequentially collected by the information collecting module along movement direction of valuable documents; after arrival and pass of valuable documents are inspected, the collected valuable document identification information is processed and identified by the identification module, and an identification result is obtained; the valuable document information state is recorded; valuable documents are counted based on the identification result and the valuable document information state, and then valuable documents are identified and judged. As a result, the reliability of the valuable document identification process is improved, and the fault rate due to the counting problem is reduced.

Abstract: A paper identifying method and a related device, used for accurately identifying soilage conditions of paper according to the recency degree of the paper. The method in an embodiment of the present invention comprises: obtaining a pixel gray value group of an image of input paper, the pixel gray value group being a combination of gray values of sampled pixels of a specified region of the input paper; obtaining an average value of gray values of all pixels in the pixel gray value group, and using same as a first average gray value; comparing the first average gray value with a recency threshold to determine the recency level of the input paper; obtaining the soilage depth of each of N regions of the input paper, the N being an integer greater than or equal to 1; and determining the soilage level of the input paper according to the soilage depth of the N regions, the region area and a soilage threshold, the soilage threshold corresponding to the recency level.

The paper medium identifying device comprises an image data obtaining unit, a faulty wire detecting unit, an image dividing unit, a standard template data storage unit, a comprehensive analyzing unit, a new template generating unit and a judging unit. The paper medium identifying device divides the standard template into new sub-templates by dividing the template from a faulty wire position as margin, and then matches the sub-templates with a papery medium image which being identified so as to avoid the influence of faulty wires on the template match identification and improve the acceptance rate of the papery medium identifying device.

Abstract: A valuable file identification method includes step 1: selecting a characteristic area of the valuable file, and extracting a valuable file characteristic for last classification; step 2: an input valuable file is fast classified according to the extracted valuable file characteristic in step 1 to gain the banknote kind, denomination, direction and image quality information of the valuable file, and the banknote with better image quality and bad image quality are selected; step 3: an image restoration technique is utilized based on a partial differential equation to restore the old banknote image; step 4: the new banknote is directly identified and the old banknote is identified via the restored image to judge the authenticity of the current banknote; step 5: a result is output. The method enables eliminating restoration treatment for images comprising good quality and uninterested area, and saving time and improving system processing efficiency.
