    Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, a method for calculating transport block (TB) cyclic redundancy check (CRC) values includes receiving code blocks (CBs) that form code block groups (CBGs), which form a TB, generating partial TB CRC values from the CBGs, and processing the partial TB CRC values to determine a full TB CRC value. The method also includes comparing the full TB CRC value to a received TB CRC value to determine if the TB has been successfully received. An apparatus includes a receiver that receives CBs that form a TB, and a generator that generates partial TB CRC values from the CBGs. The apparatus also includes a TB CRC checker that processes the partial TB CRC values to determine a full TB CRC value that is compared to a received TB CRC value to determine if the TB has been successfully received.

The method also includes generating a value (Vp) for each of the 2P combination of the control bits. Each Vp value is based on a parameter sequence and the LLR sequence. The method also includes determining a smallest value of Vp, and outputting a determination that a control bit combination was received if the smallest value of Vp is less than a threshold value (THD) multiplied by the parameter L.

According to the interference plus noise power of a measuring sub-frame, a receiver adjusts the range of an average Carrier to Interference Plus Noise Ratio (CINR) in a reference MCS parameter; according to the average interference plus noise power of the measuring sub-frame in a predetermined period, the receiver calculates and obtains the average CINR in the predetermined period; based on the calculated and obtained average CINR in the predetermined period, the receiver determines MCS information by comparing the adjusted range of the average CINR. Thus the influence of the channel condition changes on the dynamic MCS selection is eliminated.

The method and apparatus in the disclosure can achieve low complexity and high calculation precision in the calculation process and greatly reduce the amount of calculation and storage.
