  • Patent number: 10307025
Abstract: A toilet fixture comprises an interactive structure in which support arms projecting from a toilet bowl interact with the toilet fixture to position a male user with respect to a toilet bowl in order to minimize deposits of urine on and outside of the toilet bowl. The structure enables a user to face the toilet bowl and place the urethral meatus beyond an edge of the toilet bowl and over a toilet reservoir and also facilitates directing a urine stream in a manner to minimize splash-back. Support arms extending radially outwardly from opposite sides of the toilet bowl each provide a rest for a shin and knee. The support arms may be tilted to better conform to the angular displacement of a shin while a user is kneeling. The support arms may be unitary with the toilet bowl or a toilet seat or may be releasably secured to the toilet bowl.

  • Publication number: 20180116308
Abstract: A jacket or anorak suitable for day-to-day use is integrated with a selectively deployable configurable body support system. A support section comprising resilient, substantially parallel transverse members extends across a back area of the jacket perpendicular to an axis substantially parallel to a spine of the user. The transverse members are non-inflatable, inflatable with a portable pump, or self-inflatable. Removable flexible rods extend axially along opposite transverse sides of the support section. The flexible rods are each a lamellar structure operable to provide a first or a second degree of stiffness. The support section is removably secured within the garment. Leg support sections are stored in front sections of the jacket or anorak. The leg sections are removable and may be releasably secured to a lower end of the back support section, with the back support section and leg support sections being supported to a substrate.

  • Patent number: 9795502
Abstract: A heated mask comprises a user-operated control providing a number of different parameters including temperature and duration of heat application. At least one area contains a heater element. The heated mask covers an upper portion of a face and has areas positioned to be in registration with sinuses of a user. The heating element in one form comprises a serpentine conductor having a path through each area and having a preselected resistance in each area. In another form, a plurality of separate electrodes are provided, each in one selected area. Each electrode section is separately controlled to provide a preselected level of heat. It has been found that selected temperatures for a heater provide relief for sinus congestion, and that particular combinations of relative setting of a plurality of electrodes are associated with enhanced therapeutic results.
