    Abstract: The present invention is related to a target, which is a magnesium monoxide-based (MgO-based) composite having cubic crystal structure of MgO, wherein the MgO-based composite includes MgO and one or more oxides. Using MgO-based composite to form an underlayer material can improve the bonding strength among particles in the target, and then effectively reduce the falling of particles from the targets during sputtering. In addition, the MgO-based composite still maintains the cubic crystal structure of MgO, which is beneficial to make a MgO-based composites as an underlayer material in a magnetic recording medium. The invention is also related to an underlayer material for cobalt-based (Co-based) or iron-based (Fe-based) magnetic recording media. The invention is further related to a magnetic recording medium.

    Abstract: A vender code generation method is used to allow venders of the same business conglomerate to have only one vender code without duplication. The enterprise is able to obtain the application data of the vender through the Internet by using an application form. Upon verifying that the identification data in the application form is different from the verification data in the database, that is, verifying that no other venders in the same business conglomerate have already obtained the vender code, then the method is used to automatically generate and issue the vender code to the vender, so as to minimize the manual operation required and to avoid the duplication of vender codes.

    Abstract: A method of approving a new supplier is disclosed, which is used in an electronic dealing system (EDS) having an operating interface of a web page. At first, fields in a questionnaire are inputted and a plurality of electronic examination documents by a supplier candidate is uploaded. In response to the questionnaire received, the EDS assigns a general evaluation staff to perform an examination over qualifications of the supplier candidate. Next, the EDS assigns a plurality of evaluation staffs to evaluate a plurality of evaluation items corresponding thereto. Finally, an evaluation report is generated based on a total evaluation score obtained according to a plurality of evaluation scores in the plurality of evaluation items and their corresponding weights.

    Abstract: A method for on-line authenticating a component provided by a supplier is provided. The method is executed in an electronic dealing system (EDS). At first, an authenticating application form of a component is inputted and an electronic approval of the component is uploaded. Then, a plurality of examining members is assigned by the EDS based on a classification of the component recorded in the authenticating application form. Next, an examination report is uploaded after the samples of the component are examined by the examining members. Finally, an authentication result is generated according to an examination score in the examination report.
