  • Patent number: 8426795
Abstract: An image display apparatus includes a screen, a reflection mirror, an adaptive optics, and a projection unit. The reflection mirror has a reflective surface facing a light incident surface of the screen, and is separated from the light incident surface by a space. The boundary of the space is defined by the edges of the reflective surface and the light incident surface. The adaptive optics is disposed on the boundary of the space. The projection unit is disposed outside the space. The adaptive optics has a light exit side facing the reflective surface of the reflection mirror, and a light incident side facing the projection unit. A projecting light is generated from the projection unit, passes through the adaptive optics for adjusting the image size formed by the projecting light, and then is projected to the reflective surface of the reflection mirror for being reflected to the light incident surface.

  • Patent number: 8337053
Abstract: A lens applied to a light emitting element includes a first surface profile and a second surface profile opposite to the first surface profile. The first surface profile defines a first trench facing the light emitting element, and the first trench includes a bottom curved surface serving as a light incident surface. The second surface profile includes a top curved surface, and serves as a light emitting surface. Both the bottom and the top curved surfaces are mirror symmetric to the first suppositional plane P1 (X=0), and mirror asymmetric to the second suppositional plane P2 (Y=0) to cooperatively adjust light from the light emitting element to obtain an asymmetric light field. An illumination device having the lens is further provided.

  • Patent number: 8246200
Abstract: An illumination device includes a light source module consisting of a substrate and a plurality of light emitting elements on the substrate in an array and an optical module array consisting of a plurality of optical modules covering the light emitting elements. Each optical module includes a first optical component and a second optical component. A first illumination distribution pattern is generated by light from the light emitting elements and modulated by the first optical components. A second illumination distribution pattern is generated by light from the light emitting elements and modulated by the second optical components. An illumination distribution pattern of the illumination device is superposition of the first illumination distribution pattern and the second illumination distribution pattern.
