Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for enhanced resource reservation for sidelink communication. A method that may be performed by a transmitter user equipment (UE) includes transmitting a transport block (TB) in a first slot of a current reservation period, wherein the transmission of the TB reserves a future resource in the current reservation period for retransmission of the TB, indicating, when transmitting the TB, a period to periodically reserve one or more resources, in one or more future reservation periods, for transmissions of one or more other TBs, and taking action to limit or release a number of the one or more resources periodically reserved in the one or more future reservation periods for the transmissions of the one or more other TBs.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a transmitter user equipment (UE) may identify beamforming information for transmitting a pre-reservation signal that indicates a set of non-preferred resources associated with a data transmission. A communication device, which may be otherwise known as user equipment (UE), may identify a default modulation and coding scheme table and a preconfigured modulation and coding scheme table associated with a resource pool. The UE may receive, from a transmitting communication device, an indication of the preconfigured modulation and coding scheme table to use for upcoming sidelink communications. The UE may then communicate based on the preconfigured modulation and coding scheme table.

A first user equipment (UE) sense sidelink transmissions to determine a set of resources that may be reserved by one or more other UEs. The set of resources may include a first subset of resources associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second subset of resources associated with a second, different RAT. The first UE may transmit a message to a second UE indicating resource information for transmissions by the second UE, and the resource information may indicate that the first subset of resources is associated with the first RAT and that the second subset of resources is associated with the second RAT. Additionally, or alternatively, the first UE may transmit an indication of collisions between resources reserved for transmissions associated with the first RAT and resources reserved for transmissions associated with the second RAT.

A number of UEs may be configured with D2D resources, and a transmitting UE may identify available D2D resources from the configured resources. The transmitting UE may identify a resource for a first transmission of a D2D transmission from the available D2D resources, and may identify a second resource for a second transmission of the D2D transmission. The second transmission may be a blind HARQ transmission that may be transmitted to enhance the likelihood that one or more receiving UEs successfully receive the transmission. In some examples, the second resource may be identified based on other available resources within an predetermined time window around the first transmission.

Abstract: Aspects relate to dynamic resource sharing for sidelink communication. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may modify a first sidelink transmission resource set associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) to exclude at least one resource indicated by a second sidelink transmission resource set associated with a second RAT. In some examples, a UE may prioritize certain transmissions. For example, a UE may drop a sidelink reception operation if there is a conflict with a sidelink transmission operation. In some examples, a UE may prioritize a particular RAT. For example, a UE may drop a sidelink transmission operation on a first RAT if there is a conflict with a sidelink transmission operation on a second RAT (e.g., the second RAT is deemed to have a higher priority).

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide synchronization techniques for user equipment (UEs) that may be otherwise unable to support sidelink communication a synchronized UE and may have also lost global navigation satellite system (GNSS) and/or Evolved Node Base Stations (eNBs) as a synchronization source. In such instance, the unsynchronized UE may utilize reference signals (RS) from the data packets received from other UEs to track the timing and perform autonomous timing adjustments based thereon for synchronized packet transmission or reception.

Abstract: Aspects described herein relate to receiving, over a sub-channel of multiple sub-channels, ultra-reliable quality-of-service (QoS) traffic from one or more UEs over a time duration wherein other sub-channels of the multiple sub-channels are used for initial ultra-reliable QoS transmissions from one or more other transmitting UEs over the time duration, and relaying, along with one or more other relaying UEs, the ultra-reliable QoS traffic over a subsequent time duration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A device may determine a packet for transmission and determine whether to transmit a reservation signal prior to the transmission of the packet based in part on a condition. The condition may include, but is not limited to, a packet size, or a packet priority, or a combination thereof. According to the determination, the device may refrain from transmitting the reservation signal or allocate resources for the reservation signal from a same resource pool associated with the transmission of the packet or a dedicated resource pool according to a pre-reservation resource pattern.

Abstract: A sidelink user equipment (UE) limits sensing of received sidelink communications during a sensing window. The UE selects resources for a future transmission from a resource pool that is based on the sensed received sidelink communications. The UE also sends the future transmission on the selected resources. Limiting sensing may result from reducing a maximum distance between reservations to less than 32 logical slots. Limiting sensing may be sensing with a reduced sensing duty cycle with discontinuous sensing or sensing for a period of time in response to a trigger. The UE may perform partial sensing for periodic traffic, and limit sensing for aperiodic traffic.
