  • Patent number: 10066800
Abstract: A light-emitting diode (LED) fixing apparatus includes a base, a first fixing member, a second fixing member, a terminal and an LED board. Upon assembly of the LED fixing apparatus, the LED board is mounted on the base, the first fixing member and the second fixing member are mounted on the base from two ends of the base, two first positioning portions of the first fixing member and two second positioning portions of the second fixing member are provided for the LED board to be rested thereon. Moreover, a first bevel block and a second bevel block of the base can lift up a first terminal portion and a second terminal portion of the terminal to prevent LED die or substrate of the LED board from being scratched when the second fixing member is mounted. Mutual element engagement ensures that the assembly process is fool-proof and speedy.

  • Publication number: 20090103295
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) unit has a pair of substrates, an LED and a pair of brackets. The substrates are separated from and serve respectively as positive and negative electrodes. The LED is mounted on the substrates and has a pair of terminals mounted respectively on the substrates. The brackets serve respectively as positive and negative electrodes, are made of pliable and flexible metal and are mounted respectively on and electrically connected respectively to the substrates. At least one of the brackets serves as at least one three-dimensional (3D) bracket being non-flat. The 3D brackets are easily customized into various configurations by bending or stamping semi-finished 3D brackets to fit internal chambers or cavities of different lights such as vehicle lights. Accordingly, the cost of the LED modules is effectively lowered.

  • Patent number: 7070418
Abstract: A light emitting diode (LED) assembly has a printed circuit board, multiple conductors and multiple light emitting diodes (LEDs). The printed circuit board has multiple mounting holes. The conductors are mounted on the PCB and serve respectively as positive electrode conductors and negative electrode conductors. Each conductor has a contact pin and at least one through hole with an inner edge. Each LED is mounted on the positive electrode conductor and the negative electrode conductor and has a die and two contact tabs. Each contact tab has a through hole having an inner edge and multiple hooks extending from the inner edge of the through hole in the contact tab and hooking the inner edge of the at least one through hole in the conductor. Consequently, neither solder nor welding is required to assemble the LED assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050286259
Abstract: A mounting device is used in a vehicle lamp and has at least one base, a circuit board and a reflective cover. The vehicle lamp further has a protective cover, at least one LED, a protective cover and an electrical connector. Each LED has two electrical leads. Each base has a longitudinal through hole, a distal end and a proximal end. An LED is mounted in the distal end of each base. The proximal end of each base is mounted on the circuit board. The circuit board has multiple connection holes with two connection holes corresponding to each base so the LED electrical leads can be connected to the circuit board respectively in the two connection holes. The reflective cover has at least one through hole corresponding respectively to the at least one base so the LED can pass through the reflective cover.
