  • Patent number: 5930959
Abstract: A method for introducing a ground anchor into the ground, comprising the step of screwing an elongate anchor body into the ground by means of an extension tube that is to be connected to the proximal end of said anchor body. The distal end of a tension line is connected to the anchor body at a location that is positioned between the two ends of the anchor body and excentrically relative to the cross section of the latter. The tension line extends outwardly through the connected extension tube. The extension tube is unscrewed from the anchor body after the latter having arrived at a predetermined depth. A pulling load is then applied to the free proximal end of the tension line, said load being large enough to cause the anchor body to turn through the ground about the attachment point of the tension line, after which the proximal end of the line is attached to the structure to be stabilized.

  • Patent number: 5927905
Abstract: A method for and inserting a ground anchor into the ground, comprising the step of screwing an elongated anchor body into the ground by means of an extension tube that is to be connected to the proximal end of the anchor body. The distal end of a tension line is connected to the anchor body above the screw blade turns. A pipe sleeve is slid onto the extension tube, while guiding the tension line via an eyelet at the pipe sleeve adjacent to the distal end of the pipe sleeve, from the anchor body along the pipe sleeve. The anchor body is then screwed downwardly by turning the extension tube and the pipe sleeve jointly to a predetermined depth. Finally, the pipe sleeve together with the line extending there along are rotated around the stationary anchor body/extension tube assembly.

  • Patent number: 5823272
Abstract: The invention relates to a vibrating hammer, more particularly for driving sheet piles into the ground, the hammer having a lower side with a number of parallel horizontal guide tracks, slide blocks being mounted for adjustment along the tracks, the blocks having each a pair of clamping jaws adapted to grip a sheet pile, the clamping faces of the clamping jaws extending at right angles to the longitudinal direction of the guide tracks. According to the invention, the pairs of clamping jaws take such a position on the sliding blocks engaging the guide tracks that the center lines of the clamping jaws lie laterally offset relative to the longitudinal axis of the respective sliding blocks.
