Abstract: A spring support, particularly for a spring hanger of a motor vehicle, comprises an annular retaining element made of a thermoplastic material and a spring support element made of an elastomer material applied to the retaining element. The retaining element comprises at least one closed hollow space. A method is provided for producing such a spring support, wherein the method comprises introducing a melt of a thermoplastic material into an injection mold including at least two mold cores for configuring at least two through-openings in the thermoplastic material, injecting an expansion material for configuring a closed hollow space in the melt of the thermoplastic material and applying an elastomer material to the thermoplastic material.
