  • Patent number: 11251735
Abstract: A control device for an inverter has a first inverter terminal, a second inverter terminal and a plurality of bridge branches, which bridge branches each comprise a first semiconductor, a winding terminal and a second semiconductor switch. The winding terminals are connected to a winding arrangement. The control device is configured to output a control signal which enables a first bridge branch state and a second bridge branch state in the case of at least two of the bridge branches in a first operating state, wherein, in the first bridge branch state, the second semiconductor switch assigned to the bridge branch is switched on, and wherein, in the second bridge branch state, the second semiconductor switch assigned to the bridge branch is switched off. At least two of the bridge branches are occasionally simultaneously in the first bridge branch state, and a change of said at least two bridge branches into the second bridge branch state is subsequently carried out at different points in time.

  • Patent number: 10714946
Abstract: A method for charging a battery of an electric vehicle, at a direct-current charging apparatus, wherein the vehicle has an inverter which is connected to the battery, and an electric motor which is connected to the inverter. During the charging process, the inverter and at least one inductor of the electric motor are used for the step-up conversion of a low charging voltage of the direct-current charging apparatus into a higher voltage which is required for charging the battery.

  • Patent number: 10505439
Abstract: An inverter for an electric automobile having the following features: the inverter is configured to be connected at one end to a traction battery of the electric automobile and at the other end to a three-phase motor of the electric automobile; the inverter is configured to charge the traction battery if a star point of the three-phase motor is connected to a charging station; and the inverter comprises low-voltage-side switches for interrupting the charging if an operating limit of the inverter is exceeded. The invention furthermore provides a corresponding electric automobile.
