  • Publication number: 20180308251
Abstract: A method for recognizing the position of objects includes the following consecutive steps. In a first step, multiple objects having at least one distinctive component are provided. In a second step, a first object is transported to a measuring station having at least one ultrasonic sensor. In a third step, the object is measured using ultrasound. The ultrasonic waves are reflected by the object, recorded again by the at least one ultrasonic sensor and converted to electrical signals. In a fourth step, the electrical signals from the region where the distinctive component is disposed are transmitted to an artificial intelligence, and then converted to an image. In a last step, the obtained image is compared with a reference image, wherein it is checked whether the distinctive component is situated in the evaluated region. If so, the object is in the correct position.

  • Publication number: 20180306756
Abstract: A method for checking completeness, in a first step, passes a first object to a measuring station, wherein the measuring station has at least one ultrasonic sensor that is fixed in place, and in a second step, measures the first object using ultrasound, wherein an image of the object is created by an artificial intelligence. In a third step, the artificial intelligence compares the image obtained with a reference image, wherein the reference image is derived from a predetermined, complete object.

  • Patent number: 10031217
Abstract: A method for operating an ultrasonic sensor with a housing and at least an ultrasonic converter comprising a surface for emitting and receiving ultrasonic waves, whereby ultrasonic waves are emitted towards an object at different points in time, whereby the ultrasonic waves being reflected from the object are received by the surface and whereby a signal 1, 2 is generated by the received ultrasonic waves is characterized in that the relative position of the surface with respect to the object is modified in such a way that the relative position is different at consecutive points in time and that the signals 1, 2 of two consecutive points in time are subtracted from each other. Further an ultrasonic sensor for carrying out the method is described.

  • Publication number: 20080243459
Abstract: A method for optimizing a material structure. The method comprises the steps of encoding an initial design of the material structure to be optimized as a parameter set, subjecting the initial design to an optimization according to at least one preset criterion, using an evolutionary algorithm, terminating the optimization when a termination condition is met, and outputting data representing the optimized parameter set. The design of the material structure is encoded indirectly as a virtual DNA.
