Abstract: A sensor that can be placed intraorally in the mouth of a patient for the production of tooth/jaw exposures of a patient has a narrow housing, approximately rectangular in a top view, for an image detector and a control circuit board to which lines are connected, which can be connected, with a free end, with an image processing unit via a connecting cable exiting from the housing at the back wall of the housing. At least one narrow side of the housing has a rounded shape that is adapted to the anatomical characteristics of the upper jaw of an average patient.

Abstract: A dental patient chair has an adjustable headrest on a headrest carrier. The headrest is pivotably hinged around a transverse first axis on a bracing member which, in turn, is adjustable in the longitudinal direction in the backrest. In addition, the headrest is connected by a linkage which is pivotably connected on a second axis offset from the first axis so that movement of the linkage causes tilting of the headrest. The linkage is shifted as the headrest carrier is extended and contracted.

Abstract: The invention relates to a dental x-ray diagnostic installation comprising an applicator capable of introduction into the mouth of a patient on which is arranged an exit window from which x-radiation emitted by an anode can issue and expose a panoramic x-ray film applied externally of the patient's mouth. Associated with the installation is a holding system with which the x-ray film is supported in a defined position relative to the applicator and to the patient's mouth.
