  • Patent number: 11241340
Abstract: Various implementations include an assistive hamstring device including a belt, knee sleeve, first elastic strap, second elastic strap, and third elastic strap. The first elastic strap extends between a first dorsal belt portion of the belt located adjacent a sagittal plane on a dorsal side of the person and a lateral knee portion of the knee sleeve located adjacent a lateral side of the knee. The second elastic strap extends between a side belt portion of the belt located adjacent a coronal plane of the person and a medial knee portion of the knee sleeve located adjacent a medial side of the knee. The third elastic strap extends between a second dorsal belt portion of the belt located between the first and side belt portion and an intermediate dorsal knee portion of the knee sleeve located between the lateral and medial knee portion, along the dorsal portion of the knee.

  • Publication number: 20200030471
Abstract: Various implementations include a steam cabinet. The steam cabinet includes at least one chamber wall, a door, at least one heating element, at least one steam generator, a supply fan, and an exhaust fan. The at least one chamber wall defines a processing chamber. The door is for allowing access to the processing chamber. The at least one heating element is configured to provide heat to the processing chamber. The at least one steam generator is configured to provide steam to the processing chamber. The supply fan has a supply fan inlet and a supply fan outlet. The supply fan outlet is in fluid communication with the at least one heating element and the processing chamber. The exhaust fan has an exhaust fan inlet and an exhaust fan outlet. The exhaust fan inlet is in fluid communication with the processing chamber.

  • Patent number: 9391554
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to a control approach that utilizes a direct-current-based d-q vector control technology for variable-speed PMSG wind turbines based on full voltage source PWM converters. The control approach can be based on a nonlinear programming configuration for attaining a desired performance of PMSG wind turbine under operation constraints. The control approach can comprise a PMSG control unit that exploits fuzzy, adaptive, and PID control technologies in an optimal or nearly optimal control configuration. The control approach provides a smart wind turbine control technology that can be based on virtual lookup tables for effective PMSG power extraction.

  • Patent number: 9124140
Abstract: Embodiments according to the present invention provide methods and a system for a control approach that effectively maintains the DC link voltage at a constant set value under variable system conditions and keeps the converter operating with an optimal power factor range while limiting power quality effects and phase balance.

  • Publication number: 20120209500
Abstract: In one embodiment, systems and methods for detecting when an engine is being operated in a confined space relate to monitor changes in engine operating parameters related to fuel injection pulse widths and determining whether or not the engine is being operated in a confined space based upon the monitored changes.

  • Patent number: 7391311
Abstract: A cargo reminder for a driver of a vehicle includes an accelerometer, a controller to detect an acceleration change in the vehicle based on output signals from the accelerometer, and an alarm connected to the controller. Different types of alarm may be used, including a visual alarm, an audio alarm, a plug-in vibrator clip, or a combination of these alarms. In use, the alarm is triggered by the controller when the acceleration change is larger than a preset acceleration threshold. The cargo reminder may also include an acceleration threshold input to allow the driver to input the preset acceleration threshold, a delay setting input to allow the driver to input a time delay between first and second alarm triggers, and an inclinometer. A method for reminding the driver of a vehicle of an external cargo being transported is also within the scope of the instant invention.
