  • Publication number: 20240136609
Abstract: A method of and processor for determining a position of a battery cell within a battery system comprising a plurality of battery cells, each battery cell having a unique identifier (ID) is provided. Each battery cell is configured to emit a first signal when in a first state, the first signal enabling the battery cell in the first state to be distinguished from the plurality of other battery cells comprised in the battery system. The method may comprise: receiving a first signal associated with a battery cell in the first state; obtaining the unique ID associated with the battery cell in the first state; determining the position of the battery cell in the first state within the battery system, based on the received first signal associated with the battery cell in the first state; and associating the determined position with the received unique ID of the battery cell in the first state.

  • Patent number: 11905039
Abstract: Two components of an aircraft structure are joined by providing a threaded opening in one of them and supporting an alignment insert in that opening. The alignment insert is used to guide drilling of the second component such that a hole is produced which is aligned with the threaded opening, for instance using an alignment projection which physically guides a drill. The alignment insert may then be removed. A fastener is then inserted through that hole and into the threaded opening, then tightened to form the completed joint.

  • Patent number: 11744170
Abstract: Handheld spreaders and methods of operating the same. The spreader can include a cup to hold particulate material and having an open upper end, a scoop assembly provided proximate the open upper end of the cup and including a scoop for directing particulate material being dispersed from the cup, and a sifter assembly removably coupled to the scoop assembly for metering an amount of the particulate material being dispersed from the cup. When the sifter assembly is removed from the scoop assembly, the scoop remains attached to the cup to direct particulate material being provided into the cup via the open upper end. The method can include opening the cup by removing the sifter assembly from the scoop assembly, placing particulate material into an open interior of the cup, closing the cup by replacing the sifter assembly, and dispersing the particulate material through the sifter assembly.

  • Patent number: 11610001
Abstract: A testing computer system communicates with a client computer system coupled to one or more target computer systems. The testing computer system sends test payloads to the client computer system, which are forwarded to the target computer systems. Based on the test results generated by the target computer system, the testing computer system generates a runtime payload that is executable to perform a response to a security breach identified using the test results and sends the runtime payload to the client computer platform for execution. The testing computer system receives from the client computer platform an indication of the execution of the runtime payload.

  • Publication number: 20220398442
Abstract: Use of computational storage drives (CSDs) in a machine learning pipeline. The CSD may include a machine learning coprocessor capable of natively executing a machine learning model on raw data stored locally at the CSD. In turn, one or more lower order machine learning operations may be executed at a CSD in response to a read/transform command issued by a host. In turn, the CSD may return transformed data comprising data or metadata that is an output of the lower order machine learning operations. This approach may allow for application of a machine learning model locally to input data stored on the CSD having the machine learning coprocessor. This may avoid network bandwidth associated with traditional read and write operations for input and output data from a machine learning pipeline. Moreover, use of CSDs may provide highly parallelized processing using CSDs for application of machine learning operations at the edge of a network.

  • Patent number: 11464946
Abstract: Embodiments hereof relate to methods of delivering a valve prosthesis to an annulus of a native valve of a heart, the native valve having chordae tendineae. A chordae management catheter is positioned within a ventricle of the heart, the chordae management catheter having a displacement component at a distal end thereof. The displacement component has an annular shape and defines a central lumen therethrough. The displacement component is radially expanded to push chordae tendineae within the ventricle radially outward. A valve delivery system is introduced into the ventricle of the heart via a ventricular wall of the heart. The valve delivery system has the valve prosthesis at a distal portion thereof. The valve delivery system is advanced through the central lumen of the radially expanded displacement component towards the annulus of the native valve of the heart. The valve prosthesis is deployed into apposition with the annulus of the native valve.
