Publication number: 20250104182Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for automatically generating a projection panoramic view (RPV) from a dental DVT volume of a patient, comprising the steps of; (S1) localizing dental relevant anatomical structures in the DVT volume by using a machine learning method; (S2) automatically placing a guide curve by optimizing it based on the position of the localized dental relevant anatomical structures; (S3) defining a projection region of the reprojection panoramic view using the placed guide curve without manual steps in the DVT volume so that the localized dental relevant anatomical structures are encompassed; (S4) creating the reprojection panoramic view by reprojecting the DVT volume in the defined projection region.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 11, 2022Publication date: March 27, 2025Applicant: DENTSPLY SIRONA Inc.Inventors: Marco BERTLEFF, Tim BRAUN, Kai STANNIGEL

Publication number: 20250029292Abstract: Reconstructing a panoramic image of a patient's dental regions, including: providing at least one initial panoramic image reconstructed by using a plurality of projectional images of the patient and an initial layer including the mapping points corresponding to the patient's dental regions, to be sharply depicted in the initial panoramic image further including: detecting one or more clinically relevant patient-specific pre-selected anatomical structures in the initial panoramic; computing, using the anatomical data and the initial panoramic image, a new layer which includes the clinically relevant patient-specific pre-selected anatomical structure to provide a sharper depiction of the clinically relevant patient-specific pre-selected anatomical structures in a new panoramic image to be reconstructed compared to the depiction of the clinically relevant patient-specific pre-selected anatomical structure in the initial panoramic image; and reconstructing the new panoramic image using the plurality of projectionType: ApplicationFiled: December 5, 2022Publication date: January 23, 2025Applicant: DENTSPLY SIRONA Inc.Inventors: Susanne MAUR, Tim BRAUN

Publication number: 20240354944Abstract: A magnetic resonance system may include a magnetic resonance device, an optical imaging device, and a controller. The controller may control the magnetic resonance device to acquire magnetic resonance image data from an object inside an oral cavity of a patient and/or control the optical imaging device to acquire optical data from the object inside the oral cavity of the patient. The controller (e.g., a processor of the controller) may merge the optical data with the magnetic resonance image data.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 19, 2024Publication date: October 24, 2024Applicants: Siemens Healthineers AG, Dentsply Sirona Inc., SIRONA Dental Systems GmbHInventors: Lars Lauer, Andreas Greiser, Kim Burzan, Stefan Wundrak, Johannes Ulrici, Tim Braun

Publication number: 20240042482Abstract: A system for deposition of evaporated material on a substrate is provided. The substrate has a central axis. The system includes an evaporation vacuum chamber, at least one nozzle assembly, and a shadow mask. The nozzle assembly has a three-point plurality of point evaporation sources disposed adjacent to the central axis of the substrate and at a distance from the substrate whereby the nozzle assembly provides for molecules of evaporated material to arrive at the substrate at an incident angle of less than or equal to 5 degrees.Type: ApplicationFiled: August 3, 2023Publication date: February 8, 2024Inventors: Fridrich VAZAN, Ilyas I. Publication number: 20210307637Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for acquiring a dental object of a patient with an object volume, in particular at least a part of a skull, an upper jaw and/or a lower jaw. To do so, a plurality of segment volume ranges are defined in the object volume, where the segment volume ranges overlap at most partially and directions of the segment volume ranges are not parallel to one another. The image data of the segment volume ranges is recorded by an MRI machine within a measuring volume of the MRI machine A two-dimensional composite image is generated from the image data of the individual segment volume ranges by projecting the image data onto a target plane. The target plane is disposed parallel to a defined midsagittal 10 plane of the skull or corresponds to the midsagittal plane, where a first segment volume range at least partially includes the midsagittal plane of the skull.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 21, 2021Publication date: October 7, 2021Applicant: DENTSPLY SIRONA Inc.Inventors: Ciamak ABKAI, Tim BRAUN

Patent number: 10478089Abstract: Disclosed herein is a method for capturing a dental object with an object volume, in particular, at least one part of a maxilla and/or a mandible, with the sue of an MRT apparatus. A plurality of MRT segment images, which depict the defined segmented volume regions are acquired by an MRT apparatus within a measurement volume of the MRT apparatus. The segmented volume regions overlap no more than partially. In this case a target surface is defined or has already been defined. Then a two dimensional composite image, which corresponds to a two dimensional aggregate image through the target surface within the object volume of the dental object, is generated computer-aided from the individual MRT segment images.Type: GrantFiled: December 11, 2017Date of Patent: November 19, 2019Assignee: DENTSPLY SIRONA Inc.Inventors: Ciamak Abkai, Tim Braun, Jan Paul, Volker Rasche

Publication number: 20070221385Abstract: A catwalk apparatus for forming stands from individual tubulars comprises a frame having a top surface adapted to receive tubulars. The apparatus also includes a skate mechanism capable of pushing and pulling the tubulars once loaded on the apparatus. The apparatus is adapted to receive at least two tubulars in a coaxial arrangement. The apparatus includes a rotating means for oppositely rotating the tubulars along their longitudinal axes. The skate mechanism is used to advance the tubulars together during rotation so as to allow cooperatively threaded ends of the tubulars to engage thereby forming a stand. The skate mechanism is also used to urge the stand towards the drill rig for subsequent hoisting and orienting vertically. A method and system for forming tubulars is also provided.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 21, 2007Publication date: September 27, 2007Applicant: Saxon Energy Services Inc.Inventors: Tim Braun, Kevin Jonah
