  • Publication number: 20110022850
Abstract: A secure portable storage device includes a control module. When a host sends a first key to the control module with a write command so as to command the control module to write the first key into a redirecting file, the control module stores the first key in a temporary working buffer and verifies whether the first key is valid; when the first key is valid, the control module sends a second key and an encrypted content data to the host for generating a third key by decrypting the second key according to the first key and decrypting the encrypted content data into a content data according to the third key. Moreover, when the host sends multiple read commands to the control module in sequence, the control module verifies whether a sequence of the read commands received is valid and sends the second key and the encrypted content data to the host for an encryption. Related apparatuses, methods and techniques also are provided.

  • Publication number: 20080300785
Abstract: The invention discloses a memory card comprising a GPS module, a storage unit, and a card controller. The GPS module is used for receiving a plurality of positional information. When an image file is being generated, the card controller is used for storing the image file to the storage unit and for immediately attaching positional information to the image file. The invention also discloses a memory card comprising a GPS module, a storage unit, a card controller, and a micro-controlling unit. The GPS module is used for receiving a plurality of positional information. When an image file is being generated, the card controller is used for storing the image file to the storage unit. The micro-controlling unit is used for immediately attaching positional information to the image file.

  • Publication number: 20080297366
Abstract: The invention discloses a system capable of attaching position information to an image file, and the system comprises a GPS recorder and a memory card. The GPS recorder is used for receiving the position information and transmitting the position information via wireless transmission. When an image file is generated and stored in the memory card, the position information received from the GPS recorder will be immediately attached to the image file.

  • Publication number: 20080281509
Abstract: The invention discloses a GPS recorder comprising a GPS receiver, a memory, a card connector, and a USB OTG controller. The GPS receiver is used for receiving a plurality of positional information and a plurality of first time information. The memory is used for storing the positional information and the first time information. The card connector is used for connecting with a memory card, wherein an image file with a second time information is stored in the memory card. When the memory card is connected to the card connector of the GPS recorder by a user, the USB OTG controller retrieves one of the first time information corresponding to the second time information and then attaches the positional information corresponding to the retrieved first time information to the image file.

  • Publication number: 20080201504
Abstract: The invention discloses a USB flash drive comprising a USB interface, a memory, a flash drive controller, an identification controller and an input interface. The identification controller stores a first ID code. The input interface is used for inputting a second ID code by a user. When the identification controller identifies the second ID code as the first ID code, the identification controller will enable the flash drive controller, such that a computer system can control the flash drive controller to access the memory via the USB interface. When the identification controller cannot identify the second ID code, the identification controller will disable the flash drive controller, such that the computer system cannot control the flash drive controller to access the memory via the USB interface.

  • Publication number: 20080028452
Abstract: The invention provides an access control for a secure portable storage device. The control method is applied to a host for accessing from the secure portable storage device. The control method includes the following steps. First, the host transmits a first key into a first temporary space in the file system of the secure portable storage device. Next, the secure portable storage device verifies if the first key is valid. If the first key is valid, an encrypted content key is duplicated into a second temporary space. Then, the encrypted content key is uploaded to the host. Afterward, the encrypted content key is decrypted into a content key. Lastly, an encrypted content data stored in the secure portable storage device is decrypted into a content data by use of the content key.
