  • Publication number: 20080148915
Abstract: A power tool is provided with a hanger having multiple discrete width positions to engage materials of different thicknesses. The power cord is installed in the tool housing with an extra length of cable between the cord clamp and the portion of the tool housing that secures the cord protector. A crimp-on device is installed on the power cord cable next to the cord protector. When the cord is subjected to jerking, the cable moves axially relative to the cord protector. As the cable moves, the crimp-on device compresses the extended end of the cord protector absorbing energy and reducing the forces transmitted to the cord set conductors. A rip guide includes a long guide edge and two attachment points to the shoe/base of the saw. The rip guide is attached to the base/shoe via a pair of L-shaped openings that accept L-shaped support arms of the rip guide.

  • Patent number: 6006908
Abstract: A packaging article for a tie-down assembly that includes a tension strap is described that has multiple uses. The packaging article can be used for retail display of the assembly and for later storage of the assembly. The article has further uses in the operation of a tie-down assembly by providing guide slots for receiving and retaining a tension strap or cord and by providing an edge protector to protect the edges of a load secured by a tension strap or cord. The packaging article comprises a generally planar frame with guide members or retaining members that define the guide slots extending upwards from the frame surface and edge protector members that extend downward from one side of the frame perpendicular to the frame plane.

  • Patent number: 5298881
Abstract: A sensor is coupled to a reservoir for generating a first signal responsive to the liquid level therein falling below a first level spaced above an output port and indicative of a reserve level of liquid remaining. A pump is coupled to the reservoir for pumping the liquid therefrom in metered volumes and responsive thereto transmitting a volume pumping signal. An integrator receives and integrates the volume pumping signal, and then generates, after receiving the first signal, an output signal indicative of the volume of the liquid remaining in the reservoir. An indicator is coupled to the integrator for displaying the output signal.
