Patent number: 10870477Abstract: A folding device is disclosed for a rotary wing aircraft. The foldable device includes a plurality of pivots mounting a plurality of arms supporting driven propellers of the rotary wing aircraft. A projection and a detent resiliently cooperate for securing each of the plurality of arms in desired orientations relative to the rotary wing aircraft and for enabling each of the plurality of arms to rotate about the pivot into a folded position.Type: GrantFiled: March 30, 2017Date of Patent: December 22, 2020Assignee: FPV MANUALS LLCInventor: Tim Nilson

Patent number: 10745108Abstract: A coupling is disclosed for connecting a propeller to a motor in an aircraft such as a rotary wing aircraft and the like. The coupling comprises a propeller hub having an inner propeller hub bore defining an axial keyway. A rotatable shaft has an internal shaft bore connected for rotation with the motor. A radial key is slidably located in a radial aperture extending through the rotatable shaft. An actuator is slidably mounted within the internal shaft bore of the rotatable shaft. The radial key is received with the axial keyway for securing the propeller hub to the rotatable shaft. A depression of the actuator retracting the radial key relative to an outer surface of the rotatable shaft for permitting the propeller hub bore to be introduced onto the rotatable shaft.Type: GrantFiled: May 31, 2017Date of Patent: August 18, 2020Inventors: Tim Nilson, Daniel Nethery, Austin Holbrook

Patent number: 10635053Abstract: A timer device and method for receiving a container includes a base. A timer circuit is within the base. An electric current source is coupled to the timer circuit. A sensor is coupled to the base and is electrically coupled to the timer circuit. A display is coupled to the base and is electrically coupled to the timer circuit for displaying a time value. The base defines a support surface for supporting the container. The sensor transmits a time initiation electrical signal to the timer circuit upon the container being positioned on the support surface. The time initiation electrical signal activates the timer circuit and transmitting the time value to the display. The time value provides a reminder display to the individual of the time interval from the container being positioned on the support surface.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 2019Date of Patent: April 28, 2020Inventor: Tim Nilson

Patent number: 10099783Abstract: An improved accessory mounting is disclosed for a rotary wing aircraft comprising a frame supporting a plurality of driven propellers. A transceiver is connected to a electronic flight control for directing the flight of the rotary wing aircraft. An accessory frame receives an accessory load to be carried by the rotary wing aircraft. A battery is disposed on the frame for powering the transceiver. A quick change mounting removably mounts the accessory frame to the frame. Preferably, the battery is movable relative to the frame for compensating for different weights of the accessory load secured to the accessory frame to adjust the center of mass for proper flight of the rotary wing aircraft. An integral balance included for adjusting the center of mass assisting of the rotary wing aircraft.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2015Date of Patent: October 16, 2018Assignee: FPV MANUALS LLCInventor: Tim Nilson

Patent number: 10099784Abstract: An improved frame is disclosed for a rotary wing aircraft comprising a power frame having a power frame lower element and a power frame upper element. A curved beam extends between a first and a second end and having a lower and an upper edge. A coupling secures the lower and an upper edge of the curved beam to the power frame lower element and the power frame upper element for stabilizing the power frame to reduce flexing and vibration of the power frame.Type: GrantFiled: August 10, 2015Date of Patent: October 16, 2018Assignee: FPV Manuals LLCInventors: Tim Nilson, Frank Dankbaar

Patent number: 8285403Abstract: A method and system for transcoding for a mobile device. The method includes accepting a master file, processing the master file with steps laid out in a definition file, the definition file providing instructions for converting the master file to a derivative file appropriate for playback on a pre-specified mobile handset, and outputting the results of the processing step into the derivative file. The system includes a definition file, the definition file providing instructions for converting a master file to a derivative file appropriate for playback on a pre-specified mobile handset. A plurality of modules is employed that are controlled by the definition file and which perform a corresponding plurality of functions on the master file or derivatives thereof.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 2004Date of Patent: October 9, 2012Assignees: Sony Corporation, Sony Music Entertainment Inc.Inventors: Sergio Salvatore, Naveen Selvadurai, Tim Nilson
