Abstract: A method and apparatus is described. The method includes receiving a media stream, that includes a video segment, determining, while receiving the media stream, when a portion of the video segment that is capable of generating a thumbnail image has been received and generating a thumbnail image for the video segment using the portion of the video segment based on the determination, and providing the generated thumbnail image for display. The apparatus includes a network interface that receives a media stream, the media stream including a video segment, a video signal processor configured to determine when a part of the video segment that is capable of generating a thumbnail image has been received and generate a thumbnail image for the video segment when it if determined that the part of the received for the video segment has been received, and a display interface for providing the thumbnail image for display.

Abstract: Non-penetrating roof anchor brackets are described, and may be used in combination with an easily adjustable guy wire or guy rope leading to the top of a support structure, such as a mast, tripod, and other vertical structures. Some embodiments are L-shaped bracket anchors that fits over the outer edge of a roof or parapet. Embodiments of the bracket may include provisions to attach ballast to counter-balance guy rope forces. Some embodiments of the may be approximately crescent shaped, resembling an archery bow under tension, to provide a high strength to weight ratio, while conferring other significant benefits. Embodiments of the bracket may feature high friction surfaces and/or provision to rapidly attach counterweights.

Abstract: A mast mounting system for vehicles and shelters which utilizes at least two clamp bracket assemblies mounted to the vehicle or shelter such that during transit and storage the mast is positioned at an incline with its front end located just behind the front end of the vehicle or shelter. Each clamp bracket assembly includes a clamp having upper and lower members which wrap around the mast. The upper clamp member has an inside surface lined with a high friction material while the lower clamp member has an inside surface lined with a very low friction material which receives the mast and allows it to be easily slid backwards or forwards when the clamps are in open position. When the clamps are in closed position, the upper clamp member prevents relative movement of the mast and the clamp assembly. One of the clamp bracket assemblies is mounted for adjustable movement about horizontal and vertical axes.
