  • Publication number: 20080095339
Abstract: Telephone calls, data and other multimedia information is routed through a hybrid network which includes transfer of information across the internet. A media order entry captures complete user profile information for a user. This profile information is utilized by the system throughout the media experience for routing, billing, monitoring, reporting and other media control functions. Users can manage more aspects of a network than previously possible, and control network activities from a central site. The hybrid network also contains logic for responding to requests for quality of service and reserving the resources to provide the requested services.

  • Publication number: 20050261725
Abstract: A medical device for vessel occlusion, the medical device including an elongated body having a distal end portion, a proximal end portion, and a lumen disposed therethrough, an balloon disposed at the distal end portion of the elongated body, the balloon in fluid communication with the lumen. An opening defined at the proximal end portion of the elongated body, the opening being in fluid communication with the balloon via the lumen, and a valve body moveably disposed at the proximal end portion of the elongated body, the valve body movable between a closed position and an open position, the valve body configured to engage a surface of the elongated body, distal to the opening, to seal the opening when the valve body is in the closed position.

  • Publication number: 20050232173
Abstract: A system and method for servicing a call request within a telecommunications system includes and involves a client sub-system that is configured to generate a call request and to transmit the same via the Internet. The call request includes a call termination address and a service identifier. The call termination address corresponds to a call termination station that is coupled to a switching system that is coupled to the telecommunications system. Also included and involved is an intelligent services network that is coupled to the client sub-system via the Internet and which is operative to receive and validate the call request and to process the call request in accordance with the service identifier. A telephony gateway sub-system is coupled to the intelligent services network via the switching system and to the client sub-system via the Internet.
