Abstract: The instant invention is a device for aiding and enabling physical rehabilitation of patients with lower body disabilities. It is adaptable to a wide population of patients with varying sizes, bodyweights, conditions and pathologies. By customizing kinetic and kinematic movement parameters through the programmable control system, patients and therapists can start at an existing disabled state and progress to the desired rehabilitated state. The device is configured around a “Sit-to-Stand” movement which is a medical and therapeutical industry standard which can be measured and rated. Throughout the therapy motion, the patient is safely constrained and guided through a biomechanically sound pathway. Usage data is collected, stored and managed into reports in formats that are prescribed by doctors, therapists and insurance entities. The device is developed to be effective patient rehabilitation, efficient use of time and effort, and productive for clinical or home use.
