  • Publication number: 20240149763
Abstract: A vehicle seat mounting device for reducing a risk of sustaining a spinal or back injury includes a first mounting element, which in turn comprises a pair of side members. Each side member, which comprises at least one compressible element, is attachable to a chassis so that the pair of side members defines a seating area. A crossmember is attached to and extends between the side members and across the seating area. The crossmember is attachable to a seat portion of a vehicle seat so that the vehicle seat is mounted to the chassis. The compressible elements at least partially absorb a force applied to a bottom of the chassis and substantially parallel to the side members.

  • Publication number: 20240099849
Abstract: A surgical implant device, including: an implant body; a porous layer disposed adjacent to the implant body, wherein the porous layer includes a lattice of intersecting struts; and a plurality of needle structures protruding from the porous layer opposite the implant body, wherein at least some of the plurality of needle structures traverse the porous layer and are anchored to the implant body. The plurality of needle structures that traverse the porous layer and are anchored to the implant body are coupled to one or more intersecting struts of the lattice. Optionally, some of the plurality of needle structures are spaced apart from the implant body and are anchored only to the porous layer. Preferably, one or more of the implant body, the porous layer, and the plurality of needle structures are formed by an additive manufacturing technique.

  • Patent number: 8792777
Abstract: The present invention is directed to system(s), method(s), and apparatus for accurate fast forward rate when performing trick play with variable distance between frames. In one embodiment, there is presented a circuit for providing a fast forward video sequence. The circuit comprises a system time clock for providing a time reference, said time reference incremented at a predetermined fast forward rate; a comparator for comparing the time reference with timing information associated with a picture; and a controller for determining whether to display the picture based at least in part on the comparison between the timing information and the time reference.

  • Patent number: 8737400
Abstract: Presented herein are system(s), method(s), and apparatus for rapid switching between streams of data. In one embodiment, there is described a circuit for providing media. The circuit comprises a multiplexed stream processor, a queue, and a decoder. The multiplexed stream processor receives a multiplexed stream and filtering at least one elementary stream. The queue queues the at least one elementary stream. The decoder decodes the at least one elementary stream. The multiplexed stream processor filters at least another elementary stream instead of at least one elementary stream after issuance of a command to switch from the at least one elementary stream to the at least another elementary stream. The queue stores a portion of the at least one elementary stream after issuance of the command, said portion of the at least one elementary stream being written into the queue before issuance of the command.
