    Assignee: Rearden, LLC
Inventors: Stephen G. Perlman, Axel Busboom, Pamela Greene, Tim S. Cotter, John Speck, Roger van der Laan
  • Patent number: 8207963
Abstract: A system and method are described for performing motion capture on a subject. For example, a computer-implemented method according to one embodiment of the invention comprise: creating a scalar field for the three-dimensional (3-D) capture volume of the subject; generating a surface mesh for the scalar field; retaining good vertices and removing bad vertices of the surface mesh; and storing the good vertices for use in subsequent reconstruction of the motion of the subject.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: July 31, 2007
Date of Patent: June 26, 2012
    Assignee: Onlive, Inc.
Inventors: Tim S. Cotter, Stephen G. Perlman
  • Patent number: 8194093
Abstract: A method is described comprising: applying a series of curves on specified regions of a performer's face; tracking the movement of the series of curves during a motion capture session; and generating motion data representing the movement of the performer's face using the tracked movement of the series of curves.

  • Patent number: 7885354
Abstract: A system and method are described in which space-time coding techniques are used to transmit and receive multiple data streams within a near vertical incidence skywave (“NVIS”) communication system. Within the NVIS communication system, multiple independent data streams may be transmitted from a transmitting station at a high radiation angle, approaching or reaching 90 degrees. The data streams are reflected off of the ionosphere of the earth and received by one or more receiving stations. In one embodiment, the space-time coding techniques are multiple-input multiple-output (“MIMO”) signal communication techniques.
