  • Publication number: 20230296420
Abstract: A system compatible with an aperture of an asset, the apparatus for monitoring the contents of an asset, the system removable from the aperture including: a housing including a first connection interface on an exterior surface of the housing; a sensor contained within the housing; a lens contained within the housing; a power supply coupled to the sensor; an adaptor including a second connection interface configured to removably, lockably mate with the first connection interface, the adapter including a bottom end removably connectable with the aperture of the asset, wherein the aperture of the asset is substantially sealed upon insertion of the bottom end therein. A method of monitoring the contents of an asset comprising the steps of: installing an adaptor in an asset aperture; installing a sensor assembly into the adaptor; and fastening the sensor assembly to the adaptor to create a sensor apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20230111405
Abstract: A universal sensor interface system includes a sensor assembly and an adapter with twist to lock and twist to unlock functionality. The sensor assembly has a sensor interface box and a transducer communicatively connected to the sensor interface box by a cable. The adapter is configured to connect to an access aperture of a container for holding a fluid. The sensor interface box has a first connection interface, and the adapter has a complementary second connection interface. The first connection interface and the second connection interface cooperate to facilitate connection of the sensor assembly to the access aperture of the container and disconnection of the sensor assembly from the access aperture of the container.

  • Patent number: 7304588
Abstract: An apparatus for monitoring an article or system, particularly an LP or propane tank, includes a transmission unit, a base unit and a host unit. The transmission unit is disposed on or near the article or system and detects at least one parameter related to the article or system and send information related to the detected parameter. The base unit is disposed at a predetermined location remote from the article or system. The base unit receives information related to the detected parameter from the transmission unit. The host unit is disposed at a location remote from the base unit and the transmission unit. The host unit receives information related to the detected parameter from the base unit for management purposes. A method of monitoring an article or system such as a fuel tank is also disclosed.
