  • Patent number: 9117218
Abstract: A system and method for effectively performing an information distribution procedure includes user devices that perform registration procedures for receiving distribution services from a distribution system. The user devices are also used to generate user metadata regarding respective device users of the user devices. A plurality of workstations are associated in the distribution system with respective advertisers. The workstations analyze the user metadata to produce corresponding bid metadata. A bid server then evaluates the bid metadata to determine one or more winning workstations from among the original workstations. The one or more winning workstations automatically transmit their advertising information to appropriate ones of the user devices. Relevant advertising information is therefore specifically targeted toward individual device users by analyzing the user metadata.

  • Patent number: 8905160
Abstract: An assembly for handling drill pipes includes a basket for drill pipes arranged in rows and columns, and a support table that has a drill pipe receiver. The support table moves laterally with respect to the drill pipe basket between a plurality of column alignment positions and an external position which locates the drill pipe receiver laterally outside of the basket. The support table also moves between the plurality of column alignment positions and the external position. The drill pipe handling assembly also includes a drill pipe elevator assembly and a loader arm assembly comprising a loader arm having a pipe gripper. The loader arm moves between a table alignment position in which the pipe gripper may grab or release a drill pipe when the support table is in the external position and a drilling alignment position in which the pipe gripper may grab or release a drill pipe.

  • Publication number: 20140108240
Abstract: A display shows who a user owes money to on one side of the display and who the user is owed money by on the other side of the display. The parties are shown with a visual representation (e.g., a photo or text), a name, and an amount. The more someone owes or is owed, the farther they are shown extending from the center-line (or 0 owed/is owed line). The user can select a person/entity that the user owes money to by tapping and dragging the visual image and then moving that selection to the same row as a person/entity that owes money to the user. This allows the user to pass some of the money owed to the user to pay the person/entity that the user owes money to. Once confirmed, the tree is updated. The payment provider may facilitate the money exchange between the two selected parties and the user.

  • Publication number: 20130346599
Abstract: The embodiments disclosed herein are focussed on media interactions at mobile devices, such as tablet PCs, cellular telephones, and other handheld devices (for example iOS, Windows Mobile and Android devices). Some embodiments relate to an arrangement whereby a media item (such as video data) is streamed for playback at the mobile device. A software application executing at the mobile device monitors user interactions with the device during that media item playback (using any one or more of the available device inputs, which may include the likes of touchscreens, cameras, buttons, microphones, gyroscopes, and so on). The timing and nature of these user interactions is analysed relative to media event data defined, thereby to identify correlations. The presence/absence of such correlations may be used for a number of purposes, such as media lockout control, competitions/promotions, entertainment provision, data collection/analysis, and similar.

  • Patent number: 8294589
Abstract: A method of and a system for tracking radioactive sources includes at least one RFID tag attached to a radioactive source shield, the shield receiving a radioactive source at a base location, and a TRX-Gamma box for detecting identification information from the RFID tag and sensing a first gamma radiation count from the radioactive source shield. The identification information and the first gamma radiation count are stored and the shield with the radioactive source is transported to a job location where the radioactive source is removed from the shield. At the job location, a check is made that the radioactive source has been returned to the shield by comparing any newly detected identification information with the stored identification information, and by comparing a sensed second gamma radiation count with the first gamma radiation count.
