  • Patent number: 10556759
Abstract: A material-conveying system has a material-conveying apparatus for conveying material, an electronic control unit, a user interface control panel mounted to the apparatus and interfaced with the electronic control unit to receive user input commands to control the apparatus, a power unit mechanically coupled to the apparatus for powering the apparatus, a data bus communicatively connected between the power unit and the control unit, a portable remote control device for wirelessly transmitting command signals for remotely controlling a power output of the power unit to the apparatus, a wireless receiver at the apparatus for receiving the command signals from the portable remote control device and for transmitting the command signals to the electronic control unit that controls the power output of the power unit. The portable remote control device is also configured to wirelessly transmit a control signal to a gate controller of a material-unloading gate of a material container.

  • Publication number: 20180372406
Abstract: A sensor cable for measuring moisture inside a grain bin includes a moisture sensor connected to a moisture sensor wire and a pair of holes in the sensor cable. The holes are associated with the moisture sensor to enable the moisture sensor to sense moisture via both of the holes. In one implementation, a moisture sensor is connected to a 3-wire interface having separate power and data wires, thereby increasing the read speed. In one implementation, the moisture sensor is encapsulated within a node that is flush with the sensor cable to minimize load on the sensor cable from the surrounding grain.

  • Patent number: 9433142
Abstract: A seeder includes a frame on ground wheels defining tool bars for seeding elements spaced across the frame. Each element includes a pair of parallel arms connected to the tool bar bracket forming a parallel linkage for up and down movement of a support arm connected at a rear end and carrying the packer wheel. A spring applies a downward spring force on the parallel linkage to apply a downward force on the packer wheel so that the spring force increases as the parallel arms pivot upwardly and decreases as the parallel arms pivot downwardly. A control device is arranged to raise and lower the tool bar in response to a detected value of a sensor so as to change the angle of the parallel linkage and change the spring force. A cam controlled double rack adjustment of the height of the opener allows the user to change seeding depth.
