  • Patent number: 10027716
Abstract: In accordance with an embodiment, described herein is a system and method for supporting web services in a multitenant application server environment. The system includes a domain with a plurality of partitions, wherein each partition can include one or more web services, and a web services inspection language (WSIL) application. A partition-aware managed bean server can include managed beans for generating addresses of web services deployed to each partition, wherein the generated addresses can be retrieved by the WSIL application in that partition for use by clients in accessing the web services. The system can further include a web service security manager that can secure web services in each partition, by attaching security policies to each web service endpoint and enforcing the security policies on requests directed to that web service endpoint.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 19, 2017
Date of Patent: July 17, 2018
    Assignee: ORACLE INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION
Inventors: Tim Watson, Guoyong Zhang, Michael Chen, Alan Mullendore, Arjav Desai, Bob Naugle, Mike Gilbode

  • Publication number: 20120183918
Abstract: An apparatus and method for detecting infected tissue are disclosed. The apparatus comprises a light source for producing a light beam and an optical element having an input end optically coupled to the light source and an output end arranged to direct the light beam as a confocal beam into tissue. The apparatus also comprise a detector optically coupled to the optical element to receive a return beam back from the tissue stimulated by the confocal beam and to generate an output dependent upon the return beam.

An analyser is arranged to analyse the output of the detector to determine whether the return beam is indicative of infected tissue. The use of a confocal beam allows it to be directed to a specific predetermined point or depth in tissue, such as a tooth, thus eliminating the ‘swamping effect’ of the bulk background tissue. Thus an embodiment of the apparatus is more sensitive at detecting infected tissue.

  • Patent number: 7549326
Abstract: A piston testing apparatus is provided including a housing having an inner wall and defining a cavity therethrough; a piston disposed in the housing cavity and having a polymer coating deposited thereon, wherein the polymer coating of the piston contacts the housing inner wall; a connecting rod coupled to the piston; and an actuator coupled to the connecting rod and configured to provide a reciprocating movement of the piston through the cavity. An injection plate for the piston testing apparatus and a method for challenging an adhesion of the polymer coating to the piston are also described.

  • Patent number: 6573735
Abstract: Electronic devices, such as IC devices, are tested by determining a failure net within the electronic device that is causing a device failure. After identifying the failure net, the failure net is locally stressed. The stress is applied so that only the net being tested is subjected to the stress, and the remaining nets and components of the device are not stressed. A change in a signal produced by the failure net is observed while the failure net is being subjected to the stress. Testing in this manner assists in identifying the failure net as a failure source of the device.
