  • Publication number: 20180345196
Abstract: An air cleaner assembly is disclosed. In one aspect, the air cleaner assembly includes a housing defining an inlet and an outlet, and including an access opening between the inlet and outlet. The air cleaner also includes a filter cartridge received within the housing and covering the access opening. The air cleaner also includes a lock mechanism. The lock mechanism is movable between an unlocked position in which the filter cartridge can be installed and removed from the housing and a locked position in which the filter cartridge is secured within the housing. The filter cartridge and lock mechanism include interacting features allowing the lock mechanism to be moved from the unlocked position to the locked position only when the filter cartridge is installed within the housing.

  • Patent number: 7682098
Abstract: A liquid applicator having a collapsible liquid reservoir with an elongated outer chamber wall having a characteristic length, and a liquid delivery piston having a length substantially equal to the characteristic length, wherein the piston is telescopically received in the outer chamber wall, and an elongated intermediate chamber wall having a length substantially equal to the characteristic length and wherein the intermediate chamber wall is telescopically received in the outer chamber wall located circumferentially intermediate the piston and the outer chamber wall, wherein the liquid reservoir and piston may be telescopically expanded to either a fully expanded condition wherein the combined length of the liquid reservoir and piston is about three times the characteristic length or a partially expanded intermediate condition wherein the combined length of the liquid reservoir and piston is substantially less than half the length of the liquid reservoir and piston in the fully expanded condition.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4491552
Abstract: A monolithic variable jet carburetor comprising an air intake, an associated variable jet and an underlying fuel reservoir, all contained within a pressurized and heated chamber and whereby the fuel is injected into the reservoir under pressure and is atomized via an overlying wire mesh screen and vaporized as it traverses the remainder of the heated delivery path to the air intake. The heated chamber is adapted to heat the fuel at all points intermediate the float chamber and air intake venturi via hot engine gasses or heated engine coolant and wherein the float chamber is further pressurized via an air pump. Pressure/temperature sensors control the relative ratios thereof during normal engine cycling under various load conditions.
