Abstract: A beverage dispense fount apparatus (1) suitable for dispensing beverages such as beers or ciders with the addition of additives such as sweeteners and flavourings. The apparatus (1) comprises a beverage inlet (2) connectable to a beverage supply; a beverage outlet (3) configured to dispense beverage into a beverage container; a supply line formed between the beverage inlet (2) and the beverage outlet (3); one or more additive containers (13), each removably mounted within the apparatus and each in fluid connection with a separate additive dispensing line (14); a dispensing pump (15) for each additive container (13) to dispense additive through the additive dispensing lines (14); and a controller for controlling dispensing of additives from the fount apparatus (1). The apparatus (1) may comprise a video screen (9) for interactive video display to customers and a touch screen (10) for controlling operation of the apparatus (1).

Abstract: Apparatus (10) for dispensing a flavored, optionally alcoholic, beverage, is housed in a cabinet (16) and comprises a dispensing outlet (12) connectable to a beverage supply and a plurality of different liquid beverage flavorings, the dispensing outlet being configured to dispense the beverage and one or more of said flavorings into a drinking container. An actuating member (44) is operable to initiate dispensing of the beverage and one or more of said flavorings from the dispensing outlet. The apparatus includes a selector (42) configured to receive a user input selection of one or more of the beverage flavorings to be dispensed and a control unit (40). Upon user operation of the actuating member (44), the control unit (40) operates a pump (24a-f) to supply a selected one or more of the flavorings to the dispensing outlet based on the user input selection.

Abstract: A container 100 containing material 140 such as hops for flavouring a beverage is disclosed, the container 100 being formed from liquid impermeable material and comprising an inlet 110 for receiving beverage to be flavoured, an outlet 120 for dispensing flavoured beverage and a compartment 130 within the container, configured to allow liquid to pass between the inside of the container and the inside of the compartment 130, the compartment 130 containing and retaining material, further comprising means configured to allow compression of the material in the compartment. Also disclosed is a dispenser 500 for dispensing a beverage flavoured from the container 100 and methods of extracting flavour from hops and of flavouring beverages.
