  • Patent number: 10417834
Abstract: Devices, methods, and products are disclosed for collecting tolls for the use of traffic areas which are subject to tolls by a vehicle. To book an authorization for the use of one out of several alternatively usable traffic areas by a vehicle in sufficient time, first position data of the vehicle are associated with alternatively usable traffic areas with regard to the imminent potential use thereof. Use authorizations are booked for the traffic areas. The use of these authorizations can be voided, with the exception of the one that was verifiably used, insofar as second position data of the vehicle are associated with the same traffic areas with respect to a verified non-use.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 28, 2013
Date of Patent: September 17, 2019
    Assignee: TOLL COLLECT GMBH
    Inventors: Timm Buchheim, Hartmut Janssen
  • Publication number: 20150012309
Abstract: According to the invention, in order to book an authorization for the imminent potential use of one out of several alternatively usable traffic areas by a vehicle in sufficient time, first position data of the vehicle are associated with all alternatively usable traffic areas with regard to the imminent potential use thereof, and use authorizations are booked for all of said traffic areas, wherein said use authorizations can be voided, with the exception of the one that was verifiably used, insofar as second position data of the vehicle are associated with the same traffic areas with respect to a verified non-use.

  • Patent number: 6115659
Abstract: The invention describes a process for triggering a passive safety device for vehicle occupants inside a vehicle, in particular airbags, pretensioning systems, buckle switches, and roll-over bars, where--by means of electric sensors, an evaluation circuit evaluating the acceleration signals of these sensors, and a triggering agent--an activation of these triggering agents is effected if the acceleration signals indicate a vehicle condition which may be potentially hazardaous for the vehicle occupants. According to the invention, the sensor signals will first be quantified, followed by detection of those signals that indicate simultaneously an impact direction against the direction of vehicle travel. At the same time that such sensor signals are detected, a linearly increasing crash signal as well as a trigger threshold increasing with the clock pulse are generated. If the crash signal reaches this dynamic trigger threshold, the trigger agents will be activated.

  • Patent number: 5892435
Abstract: A process for triggering a passive safety device for vehicle occupants inside a vehicle, in particular airbags, pretensioning systems, buckle switches, and roll-over bars, where--by means of electric sensors, an evaluation circuit evaluating the acceleration signals of these sensors, and triggering agents--the safety devices are triggered if the acceleration signals indicate a vehicle condition which may be potentially hazardous for the vehicle occupants. According to the invention, sensor signal characteristics will be generated from quantified sensor signals by means of an evaluation function; these sensor signal characteristics will then be differentiated and fed into an amount calculation function. The up-integrated values of these amounts will then be compared to a trigger threshold so that safety devices can be triggered, if necessary.
