  • Publication number: 20260014567
Abstract: A gyratory crusher and spider for use with the gyratory crusher. The spider includes a pair of spider arms extending from a center hub. Each of the spider arms includes a lower end having a pair of support wings extending in opposite directions from the lower end. The upper top shell of the gyratory crusher includes an upper flange having a generally planar top surface. A pair of seating segments are included on the top surface of the upper flange in spaced locations corresponding to the support wings of the spider arms. The seating segments each receive the support wings on the spider arms to provide a mount for the spider on the top shell. The portions of the upper flange not including the seating segments are planar, which reduces the height of the gyratory crusher.

  • Publication number: 20260014566
Abstract: A removable and replaceable crushing shell for use in a top shell of a gyratory or cone crusher. The crushing shell includes a series of concaves that are arranged in a row with straight side walls of the concaves in contact with each other. A wedge concave is positioned within a receiving gap between two adjacent concaves. The wedge concave includes opposite angled side walls that converge in a radially outward direction. One or more connectors hold the wedge concave in place on the frame of the top shell. A wedge is inserted between the angled side walls of the wedge concave and the straight side walls of the concaves to restrict radially outward movement of the wedge concave. The wedge concave can be removed from the crushing shell though a inward force to release hoop stresses in the row of concaves.

  • Publication number: 20260016090
Abstract: A gyratory crusher including a main shaft installed into a main frame. The gyratory crusher includes a seal ring assembly having a seal ring that engages a portion of the main frame to limit the movement of dust and particles during crushing operations. The seal ring assembly includes a plurality of seal ring retention assemblies that are each movable between an engaged centering position and a retracted operating position. In the centering position, each of the seal ring retention assemblies holds the seal ring in a centered position. When the seal ring is urged outward, the seal ring retention assemblies move away from the centering position to the retracted position. Each of the seal ring retention assemblies can be moved to the centering position from the exterior of the seal ring assembly to center the seal ring before installation of the main shaft into the frame of the crusher.

  • Publication number: 20210285490
Abstract: A bearing for a crusher, in particular for a gyratory crusher or cone crusher, may include a housing, an eccentric bush that is mounted in the housing such that the eccentric bush can be rotated about an axle, a bushing that is disposed between the housing and the eccentric bush, and a lubricant line for supplying the bushing with lubricant that extends into the eccentric bush. The lubricant line may extend along an axial direction within a wall of the eccentric bush. An outer side of the eccentric bush may have an outlet opening for the lubricant line, with the outlet opening being directed onto the bushing.

  • Publication number: 20180369824
Abstract: The invention relates to a comminuting machine such as a crusher, a mill, or the like, wherein the material to be comminuted is guided through a gap which is formed between at least one wear layer attached to a component of the comminuting machine and a counter surface and the extension of which varies as the wear of the at least one wear layer progresses. The invention is characterized in that in order to determine the wear occurring on the wear layer and/or in order to determine the effective extension of the gap between the wear layer and the counter surface, a radar antenna is provided which is oriented towards the corresponding counter surface. The radar antenna comprises an antenna region and a wear part which is paired at least with the wear layer region provided for a permissible wear and which shortens as the wear layer wears down.
