  • Publication number: 20240354980
Abstract: A computerized method of depth determination in a vehicle includes determining, based on image data obtained by an imaging system representing at least a part of an interior of the vehicle, one or more points of interest. The method includes determining one or more characteristics associated with each determined point of interest. The one or more characteristics includes a location and/or dimensions of each determined point of interest. The method includes generating, based on the determined points of interests and the associated characteristics, a reference depth map of the vehicle interior represented in the image data. The method includes generating, based on the image data and the reference depth map, a refined reference depth map.

  • Publication number: 20240331328
Abstract: A computerized method of vision-based child seat mounting assistance in a vehicle. The method includes detecting an act of installing a child seat in the vehicle based on at least one image of an interior of the vehicle. The method includes determining a child seat model type of the child seat to be mounted in the vehicle. The method includes outputting, on a display, an assistance for mounting the child seat in the vehicle based on a three-dimensional reference model of the determined child seat model type.

  • Publication number: 20240278747
Abstract: A computer-implemented method for seatbelt assistance in a vehicle includes determining, based on interior cabin data, whether a seatbelt is correctly fastened. The determining does not provide a positive confirmation that the seatbelt is correctly fastened. The method includes outputting a prompt to a person on the seatbelt to take an action to enable re-determining whether the seatbelt is correctly fastened. The method includes re-determining, based on updated interior cabin data indicating a reaction of the person to the prompt, whether the seatbelt is correctly fastened.

Abstract: A computerized method of pose detection of a person in a vehicle includes receiving, from an on-board camera of the vehicle, an image of an interior of the vehicle showing a seat of the vehicle occupied by the person. The computerized method includes obtaining at least one first characteristic of a first face bounding area and a first body bounding area associated with the occupied seat of the vehicle. The computerized method includes determining a second body bounding area and an associated second face bounding area of the person from the image. The computerized method includes determining at least one second characteristic of the second face bounding area and the second body bounding area. • Publication number: 20240020992
Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for detecting drowsiness of a driver in a vehicle. In aspects, a driver is monitored by capturing an image sequence of an interior of the vehicle via a camera system. The image sequence is then analyzed to extract a characteristic pattern of the driver. An activity level of the driver is determined based on at least one of the image sequence or an output signal provided by another sensor of the vehicle. At least one of the extracted characteristic pattern and the activity level of the driver is selected as a basis for determining a drowsiness signal indicative of the drowsiness of the driver.
